I love my Baja Design replacement pods. Just don't be a dickhead and drive locally with them on unless it's pouring rain or genuinely foggy out lol

Try checking the alignment of the stockers first? I found that mine were aimed down. They should be level if using them as true fog lights. It was a big improvement for me.

I run the rigid sae kit as well, big improvement over stock. fairly tall beam with a sharp cut off which is nice because they are not blinding on the street when aimed properly.
Middle pic is stock low beams + rigid sae fogs. Top pic is stock lows only.

Did you cover them with lamin-x or just keep as is?

I'll 2nd this. Love my morimoto xb led fogs and for the price I don't think you can beat them. I did try the lamin-x on mine but preferred the white output over the yellow so eventually removed the film.

There used to be a really great thread going through a bunch of fog light options on teh lighting forum here... but I tried searching and couldn't find it for you. It was great because it went through the aftermarket options that are DOT compliant. I have hte baja designs squadron sports, which aren't DOT compliant, so I only run them in inclement weather.

One suggestion, if you're debating whether to get amber lenses, I got some lamin-x overlays in amber that I put on my stock fog lights to see if I liked the ambers (I did). It's not a lot of money ($30-40 I believe) to answer that question whether you'd like amber lenses.

Yup, I've actually got a set I'm about to put up for sale because I switched to the Baja Designs SAE fogs. I loved my Morimotos but I'll admit I'm kind of a BD fanboy. If you're interested shoot me a PM. I'll edit this post with a picture of them when I can walk out of the office and grab a shot.

Looking for this thread by any chance? Maybe?

Honestly can't tell if specific to 2nd gens or not. Looking at lights myself.

I run the Rigid SAE kit as well. Works awesome, highly recommend them.
