It was badass!! most fun I'd had in a long time. Sucks there was someone camping there. I wanted to chill and maybe swim over to that island on the right.

    Another good one.

I have a question though. Is that in fact "Auger Hole" trail that we were on? I thought Auger Hole was a spur off the main line and it was gated. I thought we past it?

While on the spur to the lake I just noticed in one of my videos, at the bottom left it said we were actually on Auger Hole trail.

Auger Hole is that hard switchback right at the bottom of the steep hill where you hit Turkey Pen Gap. There are usually two other gated trails there, one straight ahead, and another back to the left.

There is also an Auger Hole hiking trail. I've been told GPS is sketchy in there at best, so maybe it got confused.

Cool. I also found this Great vid that I will post in the MG thread. He shows the area at hunt camp 6, the farthest that I've been.

Apparently there is lake access from hunt camp 5. I think we need 5-6 trucks and start doing an annual weekend camping trip in the fall.https://youtu.be/b_GoRdTFBLA

I wish we knew someone with a boat that could check that landing b4 we headed down there. I totally want to camp there overnite and swim/fish.

That island off to the right with the sand bar that those girls were at, looked awesome!
