Just curious as to when speed limit signs will be painted neon colors. It is bad down here in the Panhandle; a big sign should be able to be noticed and yet people will still drive under in the passing lane.

My favorite is when they don't turn their headlights on, but DO turn their hazards on. Two huge pet peeves rolled into one.

    1. How to explain.. Gas station on corner, 4 way light intersection, 2 ways out of gas station. I hate when people go out to the closest way to the intersection and try to cross 3 lanes to get into the left turn lane during busy traffic. You're holding up people behind you in the gas station. Take the long way, dumbass.

    2. People who use their signal during turns/after turns. Cause I totally couldn't tell what you were doing there.

    3. Lollygaggers. No other explanation needed. You know these types.

    4. I drive cruise control a lot. Hate passing a car only to have them speed up with me with people on my ass. If you want to be in front, then go the damn speed limit, dumbass.

    5. On ramp mergers. Go the damn speed limit before you get on the highway or at least significantly close.

    6. Someone mentioned construction zone merges and someone driving till last minute to cut someone off. Not on my watch. Fuck off. Same as a highway having a turn off lane (2 driving lanes, 1 off ramp lane) and people try to wait till last minute to cut someone off on the highway, holding people back from getting off of it.

    7. Running fog lights during day.

    8. People at a 2 lane left turn intersection. Cars in both lanes going left, driver in left lane needs to immediately turn right somewhere after taking the left turn, either speeds up to cut off the right driver or force them out of the lane. Be in the right fuckin' lane you need to be in when you need to make a turn, dumbass.

    9. Texting and driving, for sure. Cause it's always safe to operate a heavy moving vehicle capable of ending yours and others lives like THAT while texting.

    10. People who wait till the last minute to switch lanes. Had this issue on a convoy with lead driver causing me stress. Multiple times he'd wait till he got up on the ass of a car and switched lanes. If I'm following, I don't see the car in front of him, so I have to either slam on my brakes or hope I can switch lanes with him provided no one is in the left. (same circumstance for getting off highway)

It is law here as well.

Here in FL we get "white out" rains which almost completely obscure one's vision. Lights are very important during these periods.

HOWEVER, for some stupid reason a fair number of drivers will also turn on hazards while continuing to drive anywhere from 30 to 70 mph and passing cars that have pulled over that may or may not have hazard lights on.

I an not sure if it is a FL thing or just this area where drives do the following:
In the city light rain = go 10 or more under the limit **** Highway = drive as if it is bright and sunny
In the city moderate rain = drive the "normal" 5-10 over the limit **** Highway = drive as if it is bright and sunny
In the city heavy to white out = Floor it!!! **** Highway = Slow down, weave if possible, turn off headlights and turn on hazards

Almost daily I see drivers make a right turn from the left turn lane, pass in the right turn only lane, and hold the phone up to read while driving 40+

It would be very nice if slow driver would keep right and all drivers only use the left most lane while passing. (Pretty sure this is law in most states)

IF I am passing someone on the right.. They are a freaking IDIOT!!

AND PLEASE!!! when an emergency vehicle is approaching pull you dumb ass over NOT blocking an intersection, entrance, or exit!!!!

    Amen 10x !!!

Every year I feel even stronger that 100% of drivers should be required to take a driving proficiency test to renew their license. Also, first 10 years it should be required annually, then move to 2 and 4 years through middle age. Once you hit 65 it should be no less frequently than every 2 years. At 75 it should be annually.

This aggravates me to no end too.

People just drive as normal with emergency vehicles flashing their lights behind them these days, they don't get all the way over or even budge. Like what the hell? I hope they ticket these guys.

    Tech N9ne! Awoo Awoo Awoo.

But yes, I get technical. I like them details.

Oh yes, I get nervous every time I see an old person driving.

My grandmother had hers after 85 for awhile and I just knew she wasn't capable anymore. We never let her drive again. Old folks are stubborn as hell, so it'd have to be the responsibility of the family members to make the decision of driving cause I doubt you would ever get them to retake a test. Not sure 85 is accurate, cannot recall when we feared for her and others safety with her driving.

George Carlin used to make a joke about "old men in hats". as i remember, back in the 80's and prior that was pretty true.

but nowadays it's different. the ones to watch out for can be described in terms i can't post w/o getting banned, even if i'm not being a prejudiced asshole.

Seinfeld had the best old folk joke about driving, where if you're 80, you should drive 80, if you're 100, you should drive 100.

Intersections with left turn lights that operate independently of the other lights!

I got pulled over once as a result of these fucking things!

Integrated left turn lights are the superior way of doing things because once there is no opposing traffic, you can turn left. With separate lights, you are stuck waiting even if you are the only one on the road.

There’s this one intersection near my house with this setup, and I never use it anymore because it.

On Labor Day Weekend in 2017, I had just driven 40 minutes from my Grandma’s house and cared only about getting home and going to bed. I was like five minutes from home, too.

I had a left turn on red at this same intersection once before and gotten away with it.

The straight lights were green and there was literally nobody around (or so I thought), so I barely even braked.

Over a mile later, the red and blue lights came on and I was initially utterly confused as to why I was being pulled over.

It didn’t take me long to figure out why I was getting pulled over, but I played dumb and it worked! I only got a warning!

I honestly think that this type of traffic light setup is for the sole purpose of catching drunk drivers. I was sober, and I got off with a warning. During the day, these intersections are busy enough that the type of setup does not matter, but at night the intersection is dead!

Better than unconstitutional DUI checkpoints though!

In California you would never be able to turn left without these independant signals. The ones without the left turn lights you have to go into the middle of the intersection until the lights turn red and the people stop running the red light. By that time the other direction has turned green and you're blocking traffic. God forbid if you're 2 or 3 cars back trying to turn left, you have to wait 2 or 3 cycles until you can sneak into the intersection or risk running a red light.

So yesterday I'm on a 2 lane highway. Speed limit is 65 and I'm doing like 75 in the left lane. Some twat in the right lane suddenly (no blinker - they never use blinkers) cuts in front of me from the right lane because the guy in front of her was not moving as fast as her but she waited until she was right up on his ass before changing lanes. If she was at all aware of her surroundings she would have moved over to the left much sooner as there was nobody in the left lane in front of me. Then to top it off, she immediately cuts off the guy in the right lane that she just passed in order to exit the highway. It was like a quarter mile to the exit from where she cut us both off. WTF. I need some instant karma directed at these a-holes. Like a cop to see it and pull them over or a flat tire, something. My horn and finger just don't seem to satisfy. Wonder if I got a dash cam and submit the video of these people to the police if they'd ticket by mail or something. Just doesn't seem right that they get away with it.

You just said you were doing 10 over the limit. Cops would not be on your side on this one.
