If your a 2008 your frame should be good for replacement 12 years after the truck was purchased . Did you buy it 9/30/ 2007 ?

 

No. The first owner purchased it then.

It was built 8/24/2007

 

Go start smacking that shit with a hammer and try and get a new frame. Kinda a hassle going through the whole process but a new frame is mint. Mine has one under it.

I don’t want to be without a truck for months on end. Nor do i want some cut rate fuck wads ripping my shit apart. I have trust issues.

I’d rather burn it shut and move forward. Its literally the only place on the whole frame like this and i cannot understand why of all places, that is where it rusted through first. I’m appalled.

Where would I even take it? I haven’t been to a single dealer that I could trust to not fuck something up. My luck is phenominally horrible.

 

@Mobtown Offroad i wonder if people having sliders bolted onto that area would make dirt, salt and moisture eat it away like that but at a faster rate?

 

That’s what I’m worried about though. If it rusted there, there may be other places you don’t know about. That’s why I recommend the hammer. If it passes that, then yeah burn it shut. But may as well check now while you still have the option of a new frame, rather than discover more rust later on and be out of warranty window.

 

It definitely does, seent it first hand. That’s why it’s recommended to take them off once a year and touch up where it’s needed.

Also why I prefer weld on sliders.

 

Just pulled my SxS out to find that the L/R tire is flat. Hopefully it can be plugged, I think that's the one with 2 plugs already.

 

I plugged it, another damn puncture. And these ATV tires are steel belted.
