Hopefully the shop who is caging it can help me work through any issues that arise. They’ll be the ones installing/setting up the 4 link as well so one less thing I have to worry about mucking up

@Caboose117 i think you have had one of the most difficult build processes I have ever heard of. Every time I open this thread there is a mishap with your build....

Leafs are for trees and don’t belong in off-road

@Caboose117 add a drain, sleeve and welder up. Boom.

I hate to stir the pot but those don’t look anything like camburg links. Run them to keep the build moving, then when you’re all set up and dialed grab the links you want with the drain and swap them out, give them a quick flapper disc grind and repaint with steelit or something and sell the old links. Depending on length, links are links are links.

I’ve seen a number of leaf trucks ride 10x better than a budget link build :anonymous:
    Like Wally’s ranger

The thing is insane and goes harder than most, and has thousands of real dirt miles.

But indeed it’s hard to match the small bump compliance and big bump performance of a link kit.

He actually gave me one of his limit straps earlier this year in glamis since I broke on on night one and he rolled earlier that day. So I never got to see his truck run.

Oh I know what and who made them
    But it’s not relevant
Jerry informed me they were made for the ranger
    Quendos ranger
So they are in reality tig welded kibbetech links

But I have bad juju with quendo
So to me those links are bad juju
But I didn’t learn that until afterwards
Which in addition to drains is why I want them gone

Keven at quixotic is setting me up with all the parts needed for links
So both arms then the two center links and all the frame side pivots

Now I just need these links gone

I really like my leaf sprung truck. Its a ton of fun and can do everything I want it to. The only real downfall is axle wrap. I have a heavy right foot and love ripping the whoops which doesn't help. I break alot of parts because of it. If I link my truck it will be an attempt to minimize breakage.

His truck is very cool btw.

Add a bud built track bar or make your own. Should eliminate the axle wrap

I had a budbuilt many years ago it was starting to twist the stock crossmember. I should have a new cross member built with a ruffstuff heavyduty trackbar kit built soon. Although I started it 2 years ago. Only is ever a priority to finish after I break something.

@Coot83 should be a happy camper after this weekend. Getting him and extra 3” of uptravel by fixing his bump stop location from the shop the botched his original dmz install. And he can still probably get another 1” of droop once we get some adjustable clevis’s for his limit straps. I should charge more for fixing this disaster of an install.
