Got it for super cheap. Gonna paint it just like I did the old one.

Gonna have to figure out this gap too. Maybe weatherstripping or something lol

Put new bulbs for the heat/air condition controls and took the Leer badge of the truck cap

 

Bought some headlight restore and gave it a shot. Far from perfect but looks so much better. Learned the lesson of you can start to melt the plastic with too much pressure. Live and learn.

Decided to throw on some led lights into the hood scoop of my '06 for i could atleast have a use for it. Have it rigged up to my fog light so i have no need to add another button.

I have USB ports in the bed for running/charging different things while camping.

The lights are just wrapped around the cargo net on the shell ceiling.

 

Morimoto D2S retrofit inside TRD Pro headlights. Halfway done.

 

I used a spray bottle of water to keep mine cool and wash away the slurry when I did mine. It helped a lot.

 

What bumper is this? I really dig the bolted look. Are they there for cosmetics or actually hold bumper together?

 

I need to figure this out. Which version to get for a manual double-cab. I imagine double-cab makes the rear mats different, but was unsure if there's a manual vs. automatic option for front.

However, I imagine there isn't. Because I think transmission model options are made to order from factory when new.
So they probably already started building the vehicle bodies, and then decided which transmission to bolt in after receiving a specific customer order.
That way all the bodies are the same to reduce production cost, and the body is probably designed universally to accommodate either of the transmission choices.

So they're probably not making a different floor layout for manual, if that is the concern for mat fitment.
Just like how plenty of people do manual swaps converting auto vehicles to manual. Changing/adding/installing a manual pedal cluster is usually a part of that, but modifying the floor-board is not.

 

Head to toe detail done today (wash, polish, and wax). Paint has never been so smooth.
