Probably don't want them inside the RV, so they go back on the tires. Limited space and they're probably kind of dirty.

My cousin has a Class A pusher, he says NCDOT requires replacing the tires once the date codes are 5 years old, regardless of remaining tread. The RV won't pass inspection with tires 5 years past the date. I suppose keeping them out of sunlight might keep them from hardening some, but they wouldn't have time to dry rot. He has his tires on a replacement rotation so he doesn't have to replace more than two at a time. His setup takes 8 tires, and they can run upwards of $600 each. Maybe other states are different, but recommendations run 5-6 years for replacement, regardless of law.

That interesting to know! Here in Arizona, most folks drive them down from the Midwest to stay when it’s not hotter than Satan’s butthole. The summer sun here cooks tires that see direct sunlight, and it’s common to see them on more permanent campers that stay longer.

It’s because these geriatrics don’t have enough stuff to spend their money on so they have constantly keep coming up with stuff to buy.

Because race car!! Tire warmers (at the track) are different than sun covers. Gotta have those tires warm and grippy for the track!

I've been using Cobra CDRs since September 2016, and I've been somewhat satisfied with them. The price is reasonable, the video quality is great, and they've served me well over the last few years. However, they are not very durable. Crutchfield has replaced two of them for free due to the plug either becoming loose or snapping off entirely.

Most recently, my $200 front unit, which includes a front and rear facing camera, has started acting wonky. The front camera often goes black or white, and the whole screen flickers.

I blame Pennsylvania's shitty roads for my malfunctioning dashcams.

The rear camera works, but I have disconnected it because it seems to make the front camera perform worse. I am presently running the front camera off of the rear camera's wire, so I have no rear camera.

I really like the BlackVue DR590, but even without the rear camera it is not cheap. I will not buy another Cobra CDR, and I will no longer be doing business with Crutchfield unless I move to a state with no sales tax (CLICK HERE to read that story).

Anybody have any recommendations for a cheap and reliable dashcam?

Maybe cuz the motorhome nerd next to them would notice the tire sidewalls are rotted? Dunno, I just spray 303 on the sidewalls, I buy that by the gallon and soak everything rubber/vinyl with it, CV boots, hoses, whatever.

I've got to say that I'm not wild about the exterior styling of the Hilux. About the only reason I'd buy one if I could is the diesel engine...

Why are people from Central America and South America so eager to leave their countries if they can buy a Hilux?!?!
