I’m hoping to free up the funds for a hardtail in the near future and the honzo is a prime target (if I don’t go another Stache). Digging everything you got going on there
Shrink that frame to a medium and I’ll take it when you’re tired if it.

Which rei model tent is that?

Thanks backcountryj! The tent is the Kindom 8 w/ mud room. The kids call it the Taj Mahal. ;). That's the beauty of a steel Honzo - you never get tired of it!

That part of the state is pretty damn remote. The name "Oregon Outback" is pretty fitting.

This is very likely the loop the guy was doing when he found the stranded guy. Lots of pretty country.

I don't get it. Whyte is out a ton of money they'll never get back and this guy is just going to slither away to his next scam. He probably made a ton of money already from his cut of the investment money. Seems like more of a tale of the small bike company getting boned and this prick getting away with it.

Thanks for the recs on shorts.
Tried to find some Fox Rangers.. smallest I could find was 34s....
Ended up snagging a set of Zioc Ether shorts....will give them a whirl.
May still order a set of 32 Rangers..
Looks like my Salsa is gonna get some exercise this coming week while the LBS has my Trek(they've done me well, and are retiring, so, kicking them some $$).

I have 8 pairs of Zoic Ethers if that tells you anything. Good quality, and once you have a covey of liners, you can just buy the outer pants for like half price.

    I can see why.
Went and banged out a ride on the Salsa this morning.

While I wish they were a touch longer, theyre fine. And the pocket placement, and size etc is spot on.

Check out Ibis wheelsets. I'm running their carbon rims with Project 321 hubs and they're solid.

$499 for aluminum wheels with Ibis hubs. $1299 for carbon rims with Ibis hubs. Both have a 7 yr rim and 2 yr hub warranty.

I've had great luck with Stans rims (specifically their Flows), but their hubs were unreliable for me. Stans rims matted to Industry 9 or Project 321 rims would be a solid setup.
