I saw one guy have one go off because of steering wheel controls. But it was a German shitbox so who knows if it wasn’t an wiring issue. Personally I’ve had loads of bags off and had no issues without pulling the battery

I mean we did 4/5 of a quart in 10-15 min which isn't great but quieted my pump down and gave me steering back. Gonna do some more tonight since we're wheeling a hard trail tomorrow

It is finished. Cant test drive as Im blocked in the garage, but the horn works and the cruise light appears on the dash when I press the button. So I assume job well done. IMG_20190727_202502365.jpg

I learned not to turn on the ignition with an airbag unplugged. Actually, we had a side bag deploy from being T-boned and after replacing got into resetting the SRS code to shut off the light. Luckily, for that car, I had a PC based software product that let me view SRS history in the ECU and do the reset without going through a process of hitting the door light switch 5 times in 7 seconds and flipping the switch on and off to start and end the reset process. You don't want to add an event to the SRS history log if you can avoid it.

I had a srs light after doing it then just cleared it with a code reader

I think it came from a super crushed wire though

Sounds like a great deal, Rachet and drill alone are more than that. Love mine.

Wulf said he filled like 4 35s in less then 7 min. A tank will be cool to use tools or something. Or just buy a power tank

It's good to have a code reader that can display and clear SRS codes. It would be a good deal to have a reader that shows the SRS history log when going out to buy a used car. Regardless of what CarFax says, you have the history log.

Now that I remember, for that car, once an airbag has been deployed the only way to get clear up the code was to replace the SRS CU. Luckily, snagged the SRSCU from the same junkyard car where I bought the replacement airbag. Might be some Federal law that prohibits SRS history from being cleared unless the ECU is replaced. In that log, the grnd-short log entry was from me messing around with the wiring. That will hang in the log forever.

About the same time, I found a way to run racing seats without side airbags by measuring a good bag's resistance and bridging in a resistor to "stand-in" for the seat airbag.
