Ahhhh yessss. I learned from being in various clubs over the years that if everybody would just fess up about what works and what doesn't without getting their feelings in a twist, everybody would benefit.

I like it. But I'd line the holes you drills the hose passes through so they don't get cut open. Just use some vac line or whatever and split it open.

I was thinking of a harbor freight grommet set because I still have to do all the wiring and line running.

Here’s how I mounted my reservoir. I modified a non cold weather spec washer reservoir to accept the quick connect from the AEM reservoir. The pump is mounted right below it, not pictured.

Since I used a Tacoma reservoir it fits perfectly in this spot. This isn’t the stock mounting spot, it actually mount where the cruise control is. One hole is tapped but I have to drill another near the washer motor.

I drilled out the original pump hole and used a variety of step down adapters and epoxy.

For the low fluid sensor, I drilled out the AEM reservoir bung with a 2” hole saw with my drill press and epoxied the bung to the reservoir in a hole I created.

Have any pics of the mechanism? I want to build something like that for my horn painting rack.

Hmmm. Id do it the overkill/industrial way. 2-1 Horse electric motors on opposite corners. Connected to a micrologix PLC to control it. Up and down pushbuttons, with limit switches to control the stops. Also a buzzer when it hits the up limit. Shouldnt be more than $1500 in the controls by themselves.

I had no room. ABS is there and I can’t fit my factory washer reservoir in its original location because the shock reservoir gets in the way.

I also didn’t want to have to worry about running out of methanol. I’m thinking of getting one of those army gas cans and mounting it on the other side, because why not.

One thing I learned is that Methanol vapor is apparently pretty dangerous. There a Racing shop in town that sells it by the gallon with no label. I didn’t think much of it and took a few whiffs to see what it smells like.

Later on I read that even the vapor can make you go blind. But it’s not at all clear how much you would have to breathe to have that effect. Anybody with a chemistry background know more about this? I can’t really find much on it beside a few chem forums arguing about it.

Sorry, I have a thing for industrial controls. I play with PLC simulators for fun lol.

Is it pure Methanol? You have to cut it with water I think 50/50. I buy it from the jug from Snow Performance already mixed.
