I dont agree with the premise of the site. Anybody can lie their way into getting donations. When I give money, Ill give it in person to the person in need, or to someone I trust will deliver it where it needs to go.

But asking for donations for a sick animal is kinda low. I dont love my animals that much to pay for super expensive surgeries they may not make it out of, neither do I love someone elses that much.

Same thing here. Trying to find a used one around here is worse than trying to find a Tacoma.

 

I just mean a sick pet is more deserving of donations than helping someone spend money on their hobby, at least IMO. Unless there are extenuating circumstances preventing someone from doing their hobby (handicap/illness, accident, etc.). Vet bills are crazy expensive and most pet insurance isn't worth the money it costs.

Anyway I agree overall I think the premise of it is kinda sketchy, but I think they have some parameters in place to weed out the scams. I don't know, I've never used it or donated on it

Ouch...none of it or just the hardware to mount it to the rack? The mounting hardware can be bought at the store. I don't remember what else mine came with but there was some other stuff...might be able to source that at the hardware store too though

For working animals, sure. My dog will get the needle likely in a few months/ maybe a year. She seems to be doing ok with a tumor in her gut. Internet says she could live a while with it.
