Mine had a dish. Died from a normal parakeet tumor they get in their guts after 7ish years.

My mom had a mini parrot for a while. It was mean as hell. Would bite everyone but her. Hed bite my finger, and Id try to shake him off, hed just hang on for the ride and clamp down harder lol. Ended up being sold to a single person, which apparently are what birds prefer. 1 on 1 companionship.
