Lol. Looking back I was pretty dedicated back then, well stupid is what I would call it now. I ripped all kinds of stuff out, complete AC & power steering system, air bags and all wiring, sound deadening, every single nut & bolt that I didn't need, etc. But I kept full interior. Never got into the 12s though. Mid 13's with no head work, then I got popped twice for ref & I quit & sold everything.

There's a recovery thread on here for the trail we just ran a couple weeks ago...ZR2 busted a tie rod and a CV axle.

 

Nah, I wanted to stay naturally aspirated. It was fun back then & I miss them days but I don't ever want to do it again, well not in a Honda.

The guy I sold the car to blew the engine 2 weeks after he bought it. He then bought another engine from one of our buddies. Had me install the engine at the shop I worked at. He never came to pick up the old engine so I stripped it, sold the parts which bought me Donahoes, Deavers, & Bilsteins to lift my truck. Good times. Lol

I just saw that. Do Chevies break tie rods often? My buddy broke the tie rod on his Silverado years ago & all he did was go off a curb. Lol

they just posted the thread, happened today and they're still stuck out there. Well the truck is anyway. I'm about 2 hours from it not counting the hour or so it would take to reach them where they're at. I gotta be up early though and can't make it

There's a Napa store in the small town about 30 min from that trail head. Last year we were with an old Ford ranger that ripped his radiator apart on the trail and we took them there to get a new one so they could get off the trail and home. These guys should grab parts from there tomorrow AM and fix it in the morning

 

I never really thought about it. But probably something old. Like a Starlet or 70s Hilux. But if not a Toyota I still want a 66 El Camino. I've wanted one since my teenager Honda days. Probably won't ever happen though unless I move or get a shop. I have nowhere to put another car (garage space).
