N2 Designs 2016-2022 Tacoma 3x OEM FOB Plug n Play Remote Starter Kit (AT & MT) + Smart Module

I don’t even know the guy and would vouch for him from most things I’ve read. Only thing I’ve read that I didn’t 100% agree with was don’t buy from Amazon because they’re not authorized dealers. The best individual customer care/support I’ve ever experienced in my 38 years came from a guy I bought a remote start for my 2015 Tacoma. As the n2 owner, he handed out his personal cell phone, email, business phone and said contact at any time and he’d be glad to help. Not just speaking that, he held to his word and helped me the few times I needed it due to some configuration changes I wanted to make that didn’t come standard in his preassembled plug and play device.

Anyway I’ll purchase one before too long. Every vehicle I have has one and will always and will install before winter as always.

As far as Amazon..hit or miss because they truly aren't authorized dealers, but I'm glad it worked out for you. That seller should earn kudos this day in age for seeing it through from sale to support (as it should be when you sell a customer something). When they sell other stuff like beanies and lawn chairs at the same time, you've got to worry a bit. The fact that it's also 3rd party market place, they can pull their listing and vanish at anytime because it's not their website. I'm just putting it out there. Also, the factory won't honor an amazon receipt for warranty since our vendors tell us explicitly not to sell on 3rd party market places. They have secret shoppers and we get cut from access if caught 2 or 3 times...serial numbers are tracked. So whomever is selling, OR gave it to their cousin to sell on Amazon, they would be denied future product/distribution access should a secret shopper from our factory source buy it...and they actually do. I know a re-seller that's been caught. They gave him a warning, so he found other clever ways and outlets to still continue. You could say he's trying to stay one step ahead but sooner or later they figure it out. It could be as simple as an Amazon Question or Review that burns them.

Nonetheless, I apreciate the kind words and as always, respect everyones opinion, ESPECIALLY when they speak from experience as you have!

Sure do. Hope to get it this weekend so I can install it.

 

It shows as 2-day so likely Monday because it goes out today (it was past pick-up cutoff yesterday even though it was packed and labeled then placed on our outbound rack)...but it's a 15 minute install. Feel free to get me on the phone if you want, it'll be a 5 minute install. You can do it on your lunch break on your own, that's how fast and easy it is, or call me when you get home after work, you'll still have plenty of sunlight to grab a beach chair, a beer and just sit in front of it remote starting it till sun down...then when you get bored, you'll be back for the smart phone module. 8 out of 10 that don't get it at first, always come back. True statistic! I had to order more yesterday because they just don't sit on the shelves for very long. I'm down to a few so hopefully the new stock gets here before I'm completely out. I hate back-order status.

 

Install was smooth. Took less than 30 mins start to finish. Only question is that the lights on the dash flash on and off after I open the door and the car turns itself off. Is that normal? I can hear a relay click when it happens. I assume it's because it's flashing the lights but want to be sure...

Works just as expected besides that.

Says $388 on website for me. Mines push to start though so keyed will be different.

I cannot even imagine buying the remote start without the Smart Phone Module/ App. Being able to start my taco from virtually anywhere is priceless. N2 Designs is the only way to buy with complete satisfaction. Premium service long after the sale is what you get.

Thanks to N2 I dont have to step into an oven, I start my truck a few minutes before I step out of my office and it's nice and cool inside during our heatwave in socal at the moment.

If it's Push to Start, yup.

No matter what brand you use, even if Toyota had an OEM one for it (which they do for select '19 Avalon, Camry, Corolla and Rav4 trims), by circuit design, Toyota engineering has made it so that ALL Toyota and Lexus Push to Starts will do that. There is no way around it. I have Toyota dealerships whom purchase my product to put on their Highlanders, Landcruisers, Tacomas, etc...They don't even question it because they already know. I'm not sure why they couldn't think of a creative way for you not to drive off without your smart fob like some of the other domestic makes have. Something we just have to live with and accept. This is NOT an N2 Designs characteristic, or any other brand for that matter you put on it. You won't find anything on the market that doesn't act this way for this specific generation make/model/ignition type. If you do, I'll reward you. This is ONLY speaking of 16-19 Push to Start Tacomas.

 

Not that it matters, I'm in that same heat wave - but what city are you in? Because Burbank/LA is on the cusp of Satan's anus.

 

I'm I Orange County, not as hot as where you're at but still pretty hot lol

 

Does the app tell you if the vehicle is currently running?

I want to use the remote start to keep the air on for my dogs with the doors locked.
