I miss construction sometimes because of the non pc culture. Could tell your foreman to fuck off an pound sand and he’d just smile at ya.

I’m at about 3700 calories and only 30g fat. I’ve (unintentionally) eaten super low fat for pretty much my whole life. Exhausted 24/7 and had “low thyroid levels” from high school on. Maybe it’s my low fat levels?

What’s your go-to high fat snack? I’m gonna try a bunch of different things this weekend and see what I like/ can stomach.

    What are your cholesterol levels?
Have you come up hypothyroid on blood tests?

I like nuts and cheese if I’m looking to add some fat. Fatty cottage cheese is also good.

Since your caloric intake is up there you may want yo go with higher fat meats. I can’t imagind eating 3700 cals and all lean meats.

Yea, “hashimoto’s disease” or hypothyroidism I think.

    I’m at ~440g carbs 180protein and 30ish fat.

Carbs is all rice, fruits, oats, and a Gatorade.
Protein is milk, egg, 8oz chicken and 2 scoops of whey.
Fats is whatever bit I get from everything else.

I’ve added in some honey roasted peanuts and a scoop or two of peanut butter. That’s not counted in the 3700 though.

    Same condition I have.

How do you do with yours? Are you on any meds yet?

I used to low fat diet unintentionally when I was younger. At one point I had a total cholesterol level of 106 and my thyroid numbers were very low. I became aware of how important fats are and have since raised my total cholesterol to 150 and my thyroid numbers are usually high now. One test per year comes back low but the rest high.

I also have found I need to supplement pretty decently and it helps with my numbers, but I have a lot of dietary implications to my Hashi's and not everyone does. My gut gets inflamed and then doesn't absorb what it needs to.

For 4 years they kept telling me “we won’t do anything because your numbers are low but not “out of range” yet” so I quit going. It’s been 3-4 years since I had it checked. I really need to go back lol

I just looked back and an average day was about 3600 calories.

    580 carbs (2300 calories)
    190 protein (800 calories)
    44 fat (400 calories)

I eat damn near the same thing every day

It took me awhile to find a great doctor to work with. Many of them are not educated on the condition and how to treat it. I got tired of knowing more about my disease than my docs. My current doctor is wonderful. She's and osteopath too which is a plus for me and a triathlete and cross fitter so she empathizes with how this impacts gym performance.
My goal is to avoid drugs as long as humanly possible.

She has me checking my levels every 3 months. 3 out of those 4 tests I come back high. 1 test a year is always low and it's always the April/May test. My body does not like the spring. Still can't figure out quite what it is but something is always happening that time of year to drop my numbers below normal.

I hope I can stay the course and avoid any meds for at least another decade. When I do have to go on meds I want biologics not synthetic hormones like Synthroid.

I park in bumfuk nowhere at the stores. Most of my vehicle damage is from parking lots.

I don’t even want POS Toyotas near me.

    Ok so today it starts.

    Start: 165lbs :bananadead:
    Goal: 158lbs
I'm not really chasing a scale number but more body fat % by looking at myself and these are the calculated numbers. I want to get back down to 8%.

    2200 calories per day
    180P+/120F+/100NetC-

Working out 7 days per week. 3 days of lifting, 1 day of yoga, 3 days of cardio.

Limited to 5 beers per week or less.

When I get my physique goals my fitness goals are going to swap more to specific gym goals like X amount of push ups, pull ups, miles run per week etc.
