Rear leaf suspension. Home done tailgate re-inforcement.
At 124K miles I had a frozen U joint that caused severe vibration on acceleration and braking. 124 seems a bit low to have a joint go on 2 wheel drive double cab that has not been off roaded nor heavily driven.

Anyone else loose theirs with this relatively low mileage or less?

Toyota sent out info recognizing the problem. Not sure exactly which years, but on most 2nd gens they are now covering them up to 200,000 miles. Check with Toyota. If you can document the repair they may reimburse you. I had to have one replaced in 2016 at about 165,000 miles. We were visiting the Grand Canyon when it went bad. I had it replaced at the Toyota dealer in Flagstaff. Didn't get the letter advising me of the issue until a few months ago and I no longer have my receipt. I need to contact the dealer in Flagstaff and see if they still have a record of the repair. Would mean about $300 to me.

In a 2005 model? 14 years "seems a bit low"? I think that's pretty amazing.

Yea, it's apparently a known problem. Mine started going bad around 95K.

I had to replace mine at 110 k to the tune of 250 at the dealer. Thing is i just had em inspected 4 months before when the dealer told me they were covered and they said they were fine
