You drive a hard bargain. 36pk and a pizza! BTW this is not the guy with the slimline mounted. Mines coming next week. Anyways you did a beautiful job. I will probably be getting mine welded if I have any serious gaps. You inspired me

Little late response, but I bolted a cheap hinged fairlead mount plate holder to mine. Bolted it to the face because I felt like the one that mounts to the fairlead would drag off road.

Sorry this is about the best picture I have, the hinge isn't really noticeable. [IMG]

Is there anything I can do to get that driver side wing to line up better? It fits the top line and the curve perfectly but then just does not follow the same like at the tip at the bottom.

Thanks for the link. This is the look I'm going for (license plate). So, did you drill two holes in the front of the bumper to mount it? A close up picture would be great if you get around to it....

Yes. I had already drilled two holes and originally had the license attached with thumbscrews, so I just added this where the thumb screws were.

I had the same issues on the drivers side. I could not get even reveal at the face. That's when I got the grinder and 3lb sledge out, needed a little massaging. I ended up with an even reveal, but it was 1/8"+

This was the best I could do even with shims. The passenger side was acceptable, but the driver was
    Not even with 3shims.

    IMG_0214.jpg IMG_0215.jpgIMG_0211.jpg

After a little grinding and massaging the flanges, here's the difference.
    IMG_0354.jpg IMG_0358.jpg IMG_0352.jpg

For me it was a no brainer that I needed to weld everything up, it was a lot more effort, but necessary at this point.

What a difference a day, some patience, and some awesome advice from SSO and Sooty can do! Lined it all up again, did some extra cutting, sanding, and shimming to get what I think is as perfect as I am capable of as far as fit goes.A9D7CA0B-58C1-411A-B80F-5483F81273AB.jpg09C90241-4155-4D83-950E-6BBAA184DCA7.jpg

I followed what he talked about in his post about using a belt sander to make it even and making sure to do some test fits with the plastic a little longer to see where you should make minor adjustments before tightening everything down. Mainly just see how much work he put into it with asking it on and off because it probably won’t be perfect on the first cut. I just left about 1/2 inch more than I should have on most areas.

Got mine done today. It went on surprisingly easy with the help of my dad. I had to take it off and trim three times but we made a stand to set it on right in front of the truck so we didn’t lift it up and down too much. I should’ve known that with the shimming I needed, it’s be off from the instructions dimensions. But it only took about 4 hours.

Oh and also, I used a dremel for so tricky cuts but I used a folding hacksaw (sawzall bladed) and it cut like butter. If you don’t have power tools, no biggy. Use a hand hacksaw. Worked like a charm.

Just curious how many people who ordered their high clearance kit at the May launch date are still waiting? Seeing all these installs has got me antsy to get mine on.

Dear Joseph, attached is your order's total. As you can see, you only paid $49 for shipping which was 100% refunded to you as promised. If you have any more concerns, questions, I'll be happy to assist you. Extension 3, Lee@SouthernStyleOffroad.com.

This bumper looks awesome! But with all the work that needs to go into it to make it look seamless, I'd expect better. Maybe just a 1 piece bumper could solve this.

SERIOUSLY?? Like how many mistakes can you make with one order. This is crazy!! I paid a total of $59 for shipping. $49 for the base rate and then another $10 for insurance. Look at the attachment. Do you need help understanding your own invoice? This has gotten beyond ridiculous.

So like I said, I paid $59 for shipping not $49.
