What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Spend some time with the polisher then a good coat of wax. I’m debating de-badging the truck all together. Friend did his and it looks super clean but he’s lifted, on kmc’s and 33’s. Mine might be too stock looking.

 

I run a similar $100 CV. Carry three and just swap them around as needed. Works well with how often I grenade them.

 

Yanked my surround off. Pretty sure next time I exceeded 65 mph it was gonna go flying.

Only ones I have ever exploded were non oem ones. And I can almost break them on command. The one oem one I blew was from a broken tie rod way over extended the CV, so I can really blame that on the CV. Right now I have some cheapy lifetime warranty ones, until I finally decide to just order some cvj's or just bite the bullet and get oem

 

What bar setup is that? Looks really nice with the chrome- looking to do something similar with mine.

 

If you wheel hard and have a heavy truck and big tires you’re gonna break axles no matter what. I personally can’t spend $350 every time I break an OEM axle. And to spend $2000 on CVJ’s is just plain stupid for someone like me who doesn’t even have LT or deep pockets.

 

I bought it in Mexico. It's a Big Country Xtremeguard

 

Tightened my LCA bolts/nuts. Marked them for future reference.

Bingo. PN goes in just comes up at the new axle, not HD but it’s cheaper then my price on a boot kit from the dealer so maybe I’ll give it a try when my other side boots go.

Makes sense, 3 life time warranty axles for the cost of 1 oem and keep a spare in rotation. Especially if your thrashing them.
