Could I get your opinions on my Nerf bars? Thought they would look good but my truck is only leveled. The are useless. I get my leg wrt every time it rains by stepping over them. Take them off and do nothing? Leave them? Get sliders even though I don't go off road? I just haul stuff once in a while. Thanks for your input. (I won't get offended) ☺️

kinda useless on tacomas unless you have a large lift and someone needs help getting in imo, just for looks. i have found side steps kill the ground clearance appearance as well. i got some for free otherwise i wouldn’t have any.

Not to get all zen on you, but I subscribe to the "less is more" philosophy. Take them off. I have them on my 4-Runner and they need to go....

I only have them on mine to help my seven year old get in. Once she’s a little bigger, they’ll probably come off.

I think they look fine. Sounds like you got them just for looks. If now you don’t like the look then just take them off and be done with it. Who cares what others think about the looks. All that matters is what you think about them.

also, i carry on my left ankle and it always hits the step when i get in and out. the biggest drawback to steps is that they mount to your rocker panel and not the frame, like sliders. so it’s not as sturdy and you can mess up your rocker panel easily.

I've been wanting to remove mine, but the wife has short little legs. I don't think she'd be able to get in the truck without them.

It's your truck man, do whatever you want. Who cares what others think. You're the one paying the bills.

I have them on my truck and I think it adds to the look. Black on a grey truck. There useless for getting in and out but help with washing and waxing the roof and center of windshield.

I'm pretty sure these pictures were taken while OP was doing jumping jacks.

For the love of God, focus your camera before taking pictures.

I have the black version of those nerf bars. Although I don't use mine to get in and out of the truck, they do come in handy to reach things on my roofrack.

Took mine off. Hated the look and they made getting into the truck awkward since I’m too tall to need them. Plus something else to attract rust from where I now live. The one thing I will say and I don’t know if I’m just imagining things is that the cab seemed more solid with them on. At first glance it seems logical since they are essentially two stringers bolted to the body but who knows. Either way I still hated the look.
