I’ll see if I can barrow my dads bike and we can take a ride one day. He doesn’t give up the keys that much.

Lucky you, I was tossing around since 3:30am, finally decided to get out at 6:30. Although I pretty much slept all Sunday, lol. Stupid 3rd shift and having 3 days (er, nights) off. Everything gets screwed up when your friends and family want to do stuff during your weekend.

Nah, most military experiments are not nearly as fun! More like "Hey, no one has ever done a mass tac jump with combat load from the C-130J before! It's 10' longer and has a different prop configuration. Get rigged up and hop on board and we'll film all of you as you jump, just in case something happens!"
At least that's been my experience...

I don't think I ever finished my anthrax series actually. They stopped somewhere in the middle when our deployment got cancelled.

As awesome as that thing looks... I've got such an ulcer from having bought my Tacoma in NY state, flipping rust bucket. You couldn't pay me to go north of PA to buy a used vehicle at this point.

Can I pay you to give me a ride to buy it? :D

Thing has 40k original miles and it’s 2WD. I doubt it’s seen much snow.

No problem, I can't wait to get out and have mine completed as well. Thanks for posting a pic though. I wasn't too worried seeing @Redmann's work Tony did. Seeing the CMC up close though gives me a lot of piece of mind.

I feel your pain. I finally got a 4-stroke stihl 2 years ago. It still requires mixing the gas though, maybe yours is the same? I had a brand new craftsman with blade before that and got to use it 6 times. Had it to two small engine shops. Motor perfect, getting fuel to it was impossible. Since then, I've made two other changes. I only run ethanol free in small engines, and they get run out of gas every fall before storing them. I got two from my dads place, old shitty 2-strokes. One fired with about 10 pulls, the other took a little more effort but 30 minutes in the garage and it runs great. I'm actually going to try to get them fixed up, one needs a head. Keep one at his property and keep the other for the house. Then I can leave the blade on the stihl and cut shooting lanes.

Thats how I run my shit. When the weed eater gets fired up, i do the house and then hit the hunting lands. The trees around the house have provided enough saw work for the last two years, but generally cutting and splitting wood is therapeutic for me so i run about 5 gallons of gas threw the saw in a year.

Interesting. I always did this with my motorcycle because I was told the tank could rust with nothing in it. I always drain my small engines though because they are what have given me problems in the past. Like my pressure washer that was used when we bought the house but sat for 6 years. That mf'er still hasn't fired up. I will have to tear that carb apart at some point, but I suspect it

Tried that with the doctor this morning, pretty sure he just thought I was just being a dick. God forbid I ask for a no bs assessment because i want to get my life back in order. It just boggles my mind that they think someone can just sit around and wait for shit to heal. Life doesn't work that way, give me an answer that didn't come out of a book FFS.
Stihl FS90 with 3 point blade is amazing for grass, weeds, light brush. The trim head is also nice to work with and easy to load. The price tag is a little high for a weedeater. I use it to cut shooting lanes and shit, so the cost was justified when compared to a tractor and brush hog. I have never had an issue or bogged it down.

Check out Misfits Offroad on Facebook. It is a group of mostly jeeps but decent guys that wheel in western PA, a lot of pittsburgh people in the group. They do some parks, but also frequent an area called troy hill near kitanning. I wouldn't recommend going there stock though. Definitely would want skids at the very least, lift and 33" tires would be better.

I've essentially given up on riding again this year. It might just be time to part ways with the old girl. Sitting for 3 years in the garage isn't doing any of us a favor.

For the price and miles it would be a good flip, thats a $3500 bike all day. It would make a sweet bobber if that is a style of bike your into.

Or line up for your shots at basic training and find out they injected you with an experimental pneumococcal drug to prevent bronchitus and pneumonia. Not to mention the 2 fulls rounds of Anthrax.

That is awesome on so many levels. If I was closer I would drive you free of charge just to check it out in person.

Sorry for the page of responses. It has been quite a few days. Long weekend and didn't get anything accomplished but a pretty sweet red neck and half a swing set put together. Guess what this evening consists of, yep another day of deciphering chinese directions and working with cedar and cheap fasteners, what can go wrong huh. Scotch is chilled and waiting.
