Not planning to get a manual since wife has to drive (he has taught her how to drive one which is a good thing though). TRD Sport sounds like the one to get to me. Jeff is too picky.

Lol, I imagine they are all good trucks. I have only owned a 2nd gen for about 6 months so i can't really tell you much about them.

I know the shocks are different, but are the leaf springs any different between a TRD sport and off road? I thought they were the same. In which case it wouldn’t make any difference which model you went with at the end of the day.

I doubt this is the proper place to post this, but may the TW Gods have mercy.

I have the factory 09 off road leaf packs with TSB and 1.5" add a leaf (110,000 miles) if someone is interested. They are in much better shape than I thought before I went to Dakars. I live in Alex city, work in Sylacauga. If interested, please make an offer. Wifey wants them out of our life.

Prerunner is just a fancy way of saying its a 2wd that looks like a 4wheel drive. Has 6 lugs instead of 5 lugs.

If it were me and i was doing landscaping id get a 2wd trd offroad. Then you still get the rear locker for when that trailer wants to be stubburn on wet lawns. It also rides better than the sport due to softer valving in the shocks.

There’s a part on the harness where they plug up together. For some reason the negative an positives were crossed and I switched them around and everything works great now!

Thanks Tweakit88. Believe that is what I needed to know. Plan to go with that. So did any Gen 2s have that or is that only for Gen 3s? Cant seem to find any Gen 2s that are 2wd trd offroad.

So are there any 2wd trd offroads that are not PreRunners and are double cabs with extended beds? Looking for something with low mileage 2014-2015 although might be slim pickings.

Prerunner means 2wd. So basically all trd Offroad that are 2wd are gonna be prerunners.

In the 2nd gen, you can not get a TRD off-road with double cab long bed. You can only get a sport or SR-5. I would have bought the off-road if they had them, but had to settle for the sport.

@Arrowshot I daily my 2wd TRD Offroad and love it. I've pulled some pretty heavy loads and the factory springs hold up really well. The rear locker has come in handy a few times as well.

I don't think I did either. Had to mow/weedeat my parents' yard, my wife's mom's yard, and then our yard to cap it all off. I need to get me a zero-turn mower...

Finally was able to sign up for my benefits and 401k here at Boeing. I actually have access to an HSA account now, so that's cool.

My benefits were great at my previous company, but even better here.

Except vision, it sucks at both places....hence why I pay for VSP independently.
