HID Headlights

Morimoto are some of the better quality kits when it comes to HID's . I have a H11 kit sitting in my garage

 

I first mounted the ballasts to a piece of medal hanging off the battery mount but it was pretty janky. I replaced the metal with a 3D printed mount made of nylon. It has held up pretty well.

 

That looks so nice, dang I wish I was that good at fabricating something like that. How big were the screws you used to screw the relay and ballast to the nylon you made?

 

The DDM 35 watt 6000k has been great for me. It was one of my first mods. DDM does tiers now with their products. I believe that I got the middle tier. You may get asked if you need an adapter, you do not on the 3rd gens.

 

I bought the morimoto 5500k Kit. The lighting had a slight blue i didn’t care for so when I seen the xtr xv2 Philip capsules 4800k I jumped on it (with a 20% off) and it’s a big difference to me comparing to the ones from the morimoto kit.

I have igniters and ballast hanging by zips behind the headlights in the support as a temp. I had a buddy cut and bend aluminum stock brackets for me I haven’t installed yet. But if it works they will be mounted to the right of the battery against the inner fender and same location on the passenger side behind the washer reservoir. Relays are zipped to the battery tie down temporarily too. Ideally I’d like to extend the harness and mount relays back by the fuse box.

I just ordered a set, Did you end up buying the wire harness with relays, do you have any issues with people flashing there high beams at you.
