    It's complicated.
    I spoke with the local dealer where I ordered my A.R.E. shell/top; they said that those are the standard clamps being used by A.R.E., for their shells, and the Tacoma (as well as other trucks that utilize the side rails.)

    I'm still shopping for similar clamps--I've seen many chinese knockoff parts on a-ma -zon, and I don't know the quality of these.
