nada....maybe a license plate one day & BA bumpers
I have a gen2 2013 with 325k miles with ORIGINAL FACTORY rear brakes
still stopping the taco safely & seem to have more life left in them

how many miles did you accumulate before you serviced the rear brakes on your taco?

(side note- I ran the factory original front rotors/pads until 150k)

slightly nutz & awesome at the same time, huh?

I really wish taco's came with rear disc brake system....way easier to inspect & service
or at least an option to spec with rear disc brakes (based on how you plan to use your truck)

Sounds like you do lots of highway miles! If they got life left and your parking brake holds the truck well, aint no use in touching them.

You have gone 325k miles, and havnt had to touch the rear drums.... and they still have life and stop the truck well.... i dont see why you would want rear disc's. The rear drums also better match the weight distribution of the truck and TBH, the rear drums will typically lock up tires before the front disc's do anyways.

That's a lot of miles. I just had the brakes on my 13 checked at 60K. Rear shoes had more that 50% left. For reference, the front pads were less than 10%.

I took my rear's apart last year thinking they were causing the pulsating/lurching shrudder during light braking - but turned out my rear drums were still as good as new at 88k miles (problem was 'sticky' front calipers which prematurely wore out the front brake hardware).

For the rear brake hardware, I would simply clean out and grease the friction points once a year or two to keep the rears in tip-top shape.

I've never even looked at my rear brakes and I've owned this truck for a year I should do that.
