Installed, Love it. Painted it red to match the tailgate and you'd have no idea it's there if you didnt know what you were looking for.

    Chris,
I received mine today and painted it and installed it. Easy as you said. Thanks for a great design and a well made piece of hardware. :bananadance:

Got mine a few weeks ago and installed. Awesome product! Just ensure you thread the torx in by hand first.

I tried numerous times to loosen the bolt that is first with no luck, I did not try the bolt that. This item goes on. I tried with a 1/2 ratchet and strip the first head, so now I am up in the air if I should try and strip the other bolt. I made sure to keep pressure on the ratchet face but it just tore up the head so I stopped.
I really want to install this but I am gun shy now, any suggestions

How in the hell did you get this to work in such a tight area, I mean the small socket has problems getting in. I will bring the truck to my bro in-law, maybe he will have more luck. Did you remove the tail gate to loosen the bolt?

    I use a
I use a T40 torch bit with a small rachet wrench, works perfect, I've taken more than a couple dozen of them off without a hitch, it may be easier to pop the tailgate off, takes less than 5 seconds, makes it much easier.

Pick the tailgate up, maybe half way, and you will have room. Go out and put eyes on it, you'll see

Yup you are correct. Have a helper towards the end of the week, so hopefully we will get it loosened.

It's really good if you just take the tailgate off

Define irony: People struggling to remove the torx screw to install the anti tweaker device without simply removing the tailgate.

I don't get why they just don't take it off, it's much easier that way

Some people are disabled and cannot lift the tailgate,or older men who need help to do the simple things. Someday you will understand.

So once I realized the anti rattle bushing inside the pivot cup had spun keeping the cup from coming off the pivot this was a super easy install.
