Beautiful plane. Did you pay the $8.00 and go inside of it?

We got there Sunday afternoon and from the warbird parking we watched the Cessna club come in, like 100 of them on approach landing lights as far as you could see!! They set there for ever getting parked.. The guy I felt sorry for was the guy with the King Air that was idling (if you can call it that on a King Air) for 40 minutes behind them on the taxiway!! Glad I didn't have that fuel bill!!

Speaking of fuel bills, I remember that the guy that had the Mig-15 that flys with the Sabre said it cost him something like $1800 bucks just to crank, idle, and get to the active.

    Nope
    You volunteer on the ground?
I bet it did look cool, I was in the middle of the group. We had over 100 airplanes in the group, but when we delayed a day we lost some who decided to just do the Fisk arrival. Ended up flying with 85 Cessnas in the arrival group.

I did as part of the Civil Air Patrol back in HS about 10 years ago. 2 weeks of flightline / ops duty was plenty for me.

Gotcha. The mass arrival is so cool to be a part of. Controllers love us because we move way more airplanes than Fisk can in the same amount of time

I know you guys set there behind our C-47 in the parking area for what seemed like forever!! Was amazed at the landing system they had figured out... Land on the colored dots!! We came in and they said NO! keep the power up all the way to the end, they'll move the cones for you!! Cones were coming up quick by the time we hit the end of the runway in our big ol girl!!

3 Dakotas in right echelon just seems so right. Such a cool sight these days!

With our FAA Certs only Pilot, Copilot, and flight engineer are allowed on the AC in an airshow and the PIC has to be FAST certified for any formation flying..

Our organization also doesn't allow non-VAC members on the aircraft at any time.

Were any of these planes you? They flew right over us in Home Built Camping. I don't remember DC-3's and C-47's in formation and doing overhead approaches like that before.
