Did mine 2 days ago. Had a hose laying around I took off of a motorcycle charcoal canister that was the exact same diameter as the stock drain hose and has a nice outer layer which worked perfectly to help hold it in place. Mine started dripping within minutes of starting the engine.

Quick and easy fix! Thank you! Ran the heater hose down through the crossbar of the frame. Had a good video but it wouldn’t allow me to upload

Had wasps and mold growing in the A/C drain line of my wife's old Prius. Had to do this regularly to keep the wasps out and keep mold from growing back. The mold will go all the way up if it can.

My 2016 Tacoma doesn’t have the hose sticking out for me to clamp on to. Ijust noticed drainage into my passenger side floorboard, any adivice on how to get the soft rubber hose to stiffen up to clamp on to?

Given that your truck is a '19, I would take it to the dealer under warranty and tell them where you found the drainage on the floorboard and that you haven't been seeing condensation dripping under the truck, so you looked to see where it was going and found it on the floorboard. Then ask them if they have a way of re-routing the drainage plug to where you want it or at least extending the drainage hose so that you can.

Your eyes must of been tired that late of night... He states his truck is a 2016. Also under his avatar his truck is listed as a 2016.

I'm thinking about having my drain tube rerouted out the passenger floor. Waiting on a reply from a couple different service managers if this would have any ill effects on the a/c unit. I don't know if the hose would freeze in the winter or if my lowly 2019 SR's a/c even kicks on during the winter months at 1st start up.

I heard back from the service dept. on rerouting my a/c drain line.

Toyota mechanic said that it was designed the way they designed it for a reason and it is best to leave alone.

You think that is worthy of a facepalm, I showed them pictures of the drain mod's on here and asked if I could get that done. Got the same reply as above.

Wow, I'm glad I saw this. Wasn't even aware of the issue until seeing this thread and checking first hand where the drain was dripping.... turns out right on the frame! No rust yet (26k miles) but I plan to get this taken care of this weekend.

I’ve heard that from service on most every issue I’ve encountered; it’s working as designed. Geez, no kidding, poorly designed.

Nah. Might need to clean up some surface rust, but that’s better than a rust through in 5 years.
