Yea you summed up what I am going for pretty well. The Dobinsons arent that much more than the billies and less than icon, but you bring up a good point. Thanks for the input.

 

I also have the 885/5100 (and 1/4 driver side spacer) setup. Spend the extra bucks and get a full leaf pack in back with your saved cash. My Icon RXT springs are my favorite upgrade to the truck.

So it's getting there slowly... but it's 40% done also welds are getting better as I go!
Gonna be adding 4 more towers and 2 more cross braces.. or what do you guys think? Should I add 4 more towers? (15" supports to the main upper)

or icon rebound in bronze on my 3rd gen. At the moment, pairing them with hankook atms

 

I think 4 more is overkill.
I would Just add one more on each side in the middle.
You could weld a plate on the middle one to add an accessories you may want to carry on either side of the plate.
Lastly, get something padded and heavy to stress test your weld
That is before you put a tent up there and sleep.

You really think it would be enough? I just wanted to not look weird since my truck is the long bed and usually the racks I've seen with 3 legs on either side are short bed, which is why I wanted to add 1 more?
But I was still going to add a plate in the middles of both sides to add some accs!

I got some new kicks today.
It was a last-minute purchase. I got a really good deal on them. Now I got to go up another 1/2” up front 1 1/2” in the back. Looking for recommendations for Add a leaf and shocks for the rear?
Also the tire company put tire shine on the tires. That’s the first and the last time that they will see that crap

 

My former boss bought an '18 & what a blast to drive... run like a scalded dog and handle... could not spin it out. You could get it sideways but then the traction control would kick in and it'd straighten right out. Lots of fun!
