This^ look up @fookin_kris_jul or @garrettfear on Instagram and watch their deadlifts.

Kris jul just pulled 800 at like 220 and I think Garrett pulls in the upper 7’s at 198.

Thanks. That’s still baby weight though. Been chasing 500 for a while now. If I’d stop trying to cut and be in Better shape for summer, I might have hit that by now.

I messed up my back in high school (not from lifting) so my deadlifts almost always sucked and I was constantly dealing with nagging back pain or injury. Plus the mental distraction every time I'd start getting heavy in deads, worried about if I was going to slip out of form and wreck my back definitely "helped" keep me from getting too far with them. Best I ever did at a meet was 515 or 525 (can't remember exactly) I believe but it was typically between 485 and 500. :( Almost always got beat in DL. Just thankfully my squat and bench were pretty good to keep me competitive! The last few months I've just been doing rack pulls from just above the knee with moderate weight (275-315) with a double overhand grip for reps. Hit's upper back and traps big time, lower back a little and killer on grip strength. :)

No "Hoss" needed lol. We whore out pictures of our rigs, so I thought a couple of videos would suffice. No more - I promise.

Post away my man, sometimes pics and video's are what inspire people most! See it, believe it, achieve it-lol! Looks like it got SupraTT's attention. :) I hate that my deadlifts suck but I always enjoy and am impressed at people who make it look easy. Just can't figure out how they do it! hahaha

There’s a bunch of articles on upper back roundness and how it’s not bad form. Some people’s back looks rounded when pulling but honestly it’s just their muscular and the way it looks. Stephi Cohen has a good post on it somewhere.

But what do i know, I’m just on a deload week at the beach getting drunk.
