We got into the neighbors pool yesterday at 4'ish. 97 with the waterfall and aerator running all day. His pool gets no shade at all.

 

If you haven’t bought the stuff I linked yet don’t bother, I just stumbled across a big ass scrap of of it at work, like 16” by 16” of the same exact stuff.

 

I haven't purchased anything additional for the bike yet. Yesterday I got everything installed and learned a lot about those little Honda carbs. The bike hauls ass now. No gain in top speed as I decided to leave the governer on until I replace the flywheel (They're known to grenade). But it pulls so hard it tries to spin the drive wheel around you and I'm damn near 300lbs. I think I'm going to get a muffler for it though. The new valve springs and open exhaust make it a pounder at idle. At WOT its a banshee. It's completely stupid and ridiculous. My brother said hell be ordering the same kit for his.

 

Everything Ive ever read/heard is that ice does not work. The quantity needed to make a difference is absurd. Dry ice doesn't work because it goes from a solid directly to a gas and doesn't have time to actually cool the water in the process. Also it traps a layer of carbon dioxide fog just above the water which is extremely dangerous if you are in the pool at the same time.

Run the aerator/waterfall/pump at night not during the day. When you run the pump it pumps the pool full of the outside air temperature and pulls in the heat from all the above ground equipment thats getting scorched by the sun. Keep the pool as still as possible during the day. The warm water rises to the top, if you disrupt it during the day by running equipment it will only warm the pool further.

My pool is roughly 35,000 gallons, gets sun all day and is currently about 90 degrees. I run the pump/aerator 9pm to 7am this time of year.

I'm gonna sound like a terrible dad to some people but my little girl pretty much loves rap and hip hop.

 

Just happened to mine on the way to work this morning.

 

Ill take the problems. My pool is the only reason Im able to make it through the summer here.

 

I got my windshield scheduled to be fixed on Wednesday, but dammit I know Im probably going to get popped a month after fixing it.

AZ people I need some help with my dog. I came home from work today and found her outside on the patio unable to get up. I dont know how long she was out there in this heat. She is an old dog. I hosed her off and made her drink water. She wants a lot more water but I dont know how much she should have. I ve brought her inside and put a frozen bag of fruit on her chest. She can't move so I laid her on her side and put the bag between her front legs against her chest. I dont know what to do. Please help.

 

I think you're off to a good start. Don't let her drink too fast as that will induce vomiting. Give her loves and keep her cool. Small drinks of water every few minutes will be good. Does she like ice? Let her crunch some ice as thats wet and slower than chugging from a bowl.

I haven't seen her eat ice before. She hasn't tried vomiting yet so I think she hasn't had too much water. I'm nervous and scared to be honest. She can't lift her head up.
