My folks have one from 2001. Absolute tank, still runs fine. Just gotta change the bag outside. Those cheaper plastic vacs almost never last, and dont do nearly as good of a job.

English sentence structure and a description please. A few of us have torn these trucks down to nothing and rebuilt them so I don't think anything here will kill you, its not a big ol diesel dozer.

I think I need to post the Urban Dictionary definition for "flaming banana" again...

'You hire a little Asian hustler and gorge him on habanero peppers and laxatives. When he makes his run for the toilet, you grab him, bend him over and have prolonged and intense anal sex with him'

anytime I see someone post that emoji it comes to mind

So you get the Cruiser back home to Washington then yet? What coils did you decide on for your suspension?

Believe it or not, they are still the most powerful and best suction vacuum on the market. Every year for the vac testing Kirby keeps winning. And they haven't made really any major design changes in decades. I love it. Heavy af and bulky but second to none in getting your carpet cleanest. And just a simple belt. Timeless engineering. Kinda like some guns Browning designed

Here is a good comparison of both... bottom line it - kirby has more suction power and versatility, Dyson has the onboard HEPA filters and still really good performance. I wanted the HEPA so went with Dyson.

Another plus is the Dyson at least looks cool for it's high price and is pretty light and much easier to handle compared to the Kirby. It's the weight of that damn Kirby head that keeps that brush roller nice and deep in the carpet pile. Trade offs. I think there is a hepa bag for the Kirby, not positive, but the bagless stuff is suuuuper convenient too
