Again that is why you wear the proper PPE. That stuff is used in ball point pens too, which seems like an odd application. Most of these chemicals people do not even think twice about.

Not good to do the 1970s Cop Show drug test with any liquid or substance.

Current training explicitly states NEVER to taste anything.

    Back to original programming...

Question- what's a great way to clean offroad tacoma seats? I have heated seats up front so a carpet cleaner is a no go. Thanks!

I skimed through the thread sorry if I ask something that was address but I missed it. what do you guys use for your Suspension cleaning and detailing some use WD-40 which isn’t all that great since it could be abrasive and also attract dirt. Others meantioned a silicon wash of some sort not sure what that was.

Buffed out with carpro clear cut then polished with carpro essence. Topped with DPC shield ceramic. Came out pretty good for my first try at a coating

Dont I know. I own a superwhite with no clearcoat. Ask me about clay bar to final wax. Ugh. So worth it though.

It's great if you live in a low rain environment and garage park.

I love using ONR which is technically rinseless, but you can use it as waterless if you don’t let the truck get too dirty.

In reading back a few pages I noticed some posts about safety when using certain products...Im not sure if everyone knows that you can type SDS and the name of a product and it will take you to a site that contains a great deal of data about that product, its chemical make up (althou not the "secret stuff") how to store, PPE etc etc.....very useful info

    https://www.wd40company.com/files/pdf/wd-40-ae38549276.pdf

here is an example of one that almost everyone uses

    Need some help:

So I just did some retouch work on my truck. The auto body guy told me not to wash my truck with any wax or sealants that are mixed in soaps for a month to let the paint’s gases fully escape. What are some soaps out there I can use? Thanks

He's probably being too cautious since the wax or sealants that are in soaps are barely any at all. Nearly every soap leaves some kind of gloss enhancing features (most or all of the rinseless washes do). But you're talking only a month so let it be.

Two that come to mind mainly because both are worth having for the long haul anyway are Meguair's Hyper Wash and CarPro Reset. Reset is stupid expensive but has a very high dilution rate. Hyper Wash is only available in gallon but it's a solid soap and worth it.

I just did a full decon, wash, clay, compound, polish, and jescar powelock sealnt to my brothers 1995 Chevy pickup with 38k miles on it. I used megs m105 then m205 and got the paint looking better than new. It took me several days of work.
