@Nicklovin did you guys ever run Maple Springs the other day? I was just wondering if it was actually open or not. I live like 20 mins away from there but the past 10 times ive tried to go the gate was closed.

It’s funny how a picture always makes an obstacle look so much less than it is.

Not that this obstacle is difficult but the picture makes it look like a mall curb.

yeah usually when photos at runs are taken it's during the middle of the day when the sun is right overhead...all that direct overhead light makes things look flat (no shadows).

The ideal time to do a run "for the gram" haha, would be late in the afternoon, when the set is lower...more directional lighting = more shadows and more depth to the rocks in the photos

But yeah it kind of sucks when you get excited to share photos of a run and everything looks way easier in the photos than it was in reality

I feel like this is why videos are the best, especially when youre trying to show someone how you damn near destroyed your truck over the weekend.

I have a similar issue with videos. Unless the camera person is willing to get up close and find some good angles, the video usually turns out rather flat.

I feel like its better to take videos (Or even pictures for that matter) the bottom of an obstacle so that way you can at least kinda see the incline/decline youre working with. Ryan is definitely right though, with out any sense of shadow youre going to have a lack of depth.

Yep, and your truck shadow is hiding the huge hole its avoiding.

Yep it’s open, been open at least a couple months now. The gate about half an hour up that let’s you continue to Santiago peak is still closed but if you go to the left you can cruise down Bedford road

Easy to spot where you rub when you rub through the fender liner.

Oh okay sweet! I don’t think I have ever gone down Bedford. I always went all the way through passing the radio towers

It's really nice out there, I went a couple of weeks back. Wish they'd open up Santiago though

It’s pretty easy and short, drops you off in some fancy shamancy neighborhood nearby the 15
Maybe in December, usually takes at least a year after a fire
