To be fair, every car has its weaknesses. Raptors have poor power steering systems & Tacoma’s 4WD just happens to have shitty electronics placed in the worst possible places by engineers

Will be taking my junk sometime this week to the shop

Yeah i get that but the 3rd gens just seem to have way to many poor quality ,poor design issue's ! Been driving Tacomas my entire life and Toyota just screwed the pooch with the 3rd gen overall drive train, power plant and even going on the cheap with all the dam plastic parts.

It looks to me like maybe the solder joint on the far right is questionable. ???

How fast can you drive with it stuck in 4 hi its my daily driver i will be driving at about 70mph how long before the front end blows up. I think I got it back into 2 wheel dr . Tapped on actuator several times now I just have the flashing light and it doesn't feel like it's in 4hi no binding in tight turns

so far it has; no more or less waterproof than the transmission shifter that was already there from the factory. The raptor will have electronic 4x4 as well but the engine will break down before the 4x4 stops working LOL

I’m in the Riverside area of SoCal, but I will not be doing the swap. It will be done by RST in Anaheim

LMAO, typical dealer BS story because they can't figure out what's wrong.

Update! Dealer told me warranty is void due to the lift witch caused the hose to be pulled off Actuator. That is a lie because i checked the hose prior to dropping my truck off! I told them the lift did nothing to to the actuator or front diff to make it move to it pull off! Then he said i had modified the trucks electrical wiring and that voids warranty. I have not touched a single OEM wire on the truck except for a battery cable. So to make repair they would have to drop the front diff out of the truck and replace the actuator at a cost of $2300 i told them no thank you and would be calling corporate office. I then ordered a new actuator got 2 days ago and this is how it came to me!

I think i can make it work. As the Auto parts guy i bought it from doesnt have anymore in stock and i need to get this fixed! :angrygirl::annoyed:

That’s so weird ..... I’m lifted an have electrical upgrades . Depends on dealer I guess . So mine was done in 1 day under warranty , does the diff really need to come out to replace this ?
