    I just use a shot of WD-40. Its seems to do the trick :) Mine was squeaky a few months ago from the dust etc... so I cleaned the hinge and and wd_40'd it...problem solved

    WD40 is not a lubricant, it's more like a cleaner. Now that you got it freed up, grease it.

    Spray White Lithium grease is the way to go for stuff that needs to move smoothly - hinges of any sort work better with the correct amount of white lithium grease.
