Gotcha. In my defense, I did say that the spots look like a brown :fistbump:

The natives here require some trekking. It’s glorious. I’m always amazed at the size trout can grow to in some of the tiny tributaries.

Even stumbled up on a tiger two years in a row in the same hole.

Is the third fly your creation for BC? I was looking and see some Silver Hilton and Green Skunk (obviously not either) they all look great but this one caught my eye.

It's just borrowed ideas from various wet flies, nothing in particular. This is usually fished on the swing for rainbows and westslope. It worked quite well this spring during the run off, but will give it another go this fall when the October Caddis are out and about.

    They’re few and far between.

I’ve caught 2 wild ones in the past few years somehow.

Correct like that. That is how the slime is affected. But it very much depends on water temp and how long the fish was fought. Fast fight quick photo is fine. That is often not the case though.

A diy trip to Alaska, Patagonia, or NZ is on my bucket list. I’d love to go somewhere like that and just hump around the water for 2 weeks and explore

Argentina was the best. That's where you should go. New Zealand is a bitch. Fish are not everywhere in the river like they are in Patagonia Argentina.

Any of you folks chase stripers (of the freshwater variety) on the fly?
