Have this weird feeling Frankie's going to beat Max this weekend. Frankie Def looked better on the scale today.

 

I feel ya. I did just notice Max has lost back to back vs Bermudez and Conor. Bermudez is only 5'6. So a shorter guy has beaten him.

I always wonder why no one wrestles Max. Conor with a torn acl took him down with ease and Max looked stranded. No one else has really tried takedowns on him. Gonna be a good fight though.

Also it looks like Frankie put on some muscle lately.

 

I'm won't get home for another hour or so. Working tomorrow early in the morning so I'll be able to catch some fights on the main card.

 

Cyborg looked pretty bad tonight. Good thing she didn't rematch Nunes.

Exactly. Cyborg has a lot lest testosterone to rely on. I also think in addition to her being forced to fight cleaner than before, it’s a combination of age and the fact that her game is the same as it always was.

 

Yes, but you can’t say it out loud or you get a cease and desist letter from their lawyers! lol. I also like the fact that we have ONE and Bellator and so on. It gives other fighters a way to make a living and keeps the UFC as honest as possible from a salary standpoint. Like him or not, Coker finds a way to work. I do wonder how Bader would do against the top UFC guys now.

Yep. I just got a chance to sit down and watch the fight. Edgar couldn't take Holloway down and there's no way he can stand and trade with him. In usual Edgar fashion though he tried. I was really looking forward to this fight just because both of these guys have endurance that's off the charts. The old school Jersey boy in me was routing for Edgar but the realist in me had it figured out after the first 2 rounds. Funny thing is that Edgar's corner gave him great advice in between 1 and 2. "Frankie, the low leg kicks there all day if you want it". I don't know why he didn't try it more. It connected every time he threw it.

 

Yeah definitely. Frankie was having a lot of difficulty with Max’s range. Just couldn’t get inside to do any work. Max popping that jab stopped him in his tracks. Max essentially fought the perfect fight against Frankie. Solid game plan that was executed beautifully.

Max’s takedown defense is really good. At some point during the fight they listed the statistics of takedowns stuffed and I was really impressed. I forget the numbers.

 

Yeah should be free.

I've never wanted a fighter to ko someone more that with Robbie vs Colby. Colby is terrible.

 

Cris Cyborg apparently just signed a 8 fight contact with Bellator.

 

Colby might actually win. How fucked is that.

After watching RL against Askren I’d put my money on him but I’m not counting out CC unfortunately

 

Where did you read that? I can’t find anything on it but it wouldn’t surprise me.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised really if Cris Cyborg signed with BMMA. Dana and her just doesn’t see eye to eye.

 

She's just in such an odd spot. Nobody really gives a shit about womens 145 and she can't make 135, so after getting her ass beat and her title taken by Amanda it's like what do you do with her now? Nobody but Amanda can really do anything to her so every other fight is pointless

 

brett okamoto released a statement that I saw on IG. But now I can’t find anything on it? Maybe it was a false alarm? Strange
