Yeah Ill fix the crusty spots as I find them. But if it needed a full frame resto, it would be time to part ways. Some poor sap will gladly pay my asking price without ever looking underneath.

But, I dont have to worry about that. :D

There’s plastic trim for the bottom and top that I don’t have yet.

Kinda. The steel bumpers also do sit higher than the plastic bumper tundras.

It's a fun daily? Have you needed to throw a couple hundred pounds of bagged sand in bed because of that fun 4.7L?:D

Oh, it’s fun. 12mpg hurts. But the sheer power of it in such a light truck. It’s a fucking blast. The lsd makes it more fun, she’s a handful in the rain. 4ws works and what little I’ve played in the dirt with it seems fun. When it hauled 3000 pbs of stone it handled it well. Honestly it felt just fine other than the bro lean

286hp is fun. The vvti makes the fucking torque it produces pretty flat from a pretty low rpm. It shreds tires

Around that. The vvti makes these things pretty damn peppy. I’m really tempted to do the long tubes and I hector upgrade. I hear it makes a massive difference

Damn phone. Injectors. Going from a 4 hole to a 12 hole for better fuel atomization. Helps in the higher rpm. And it also gives a slight bump in mpg

I have gone down the path of replacing my own frame. (For other reasons other than rust, but nonetheless). It’s an expensive endeavour.

The neatest thing I might do down the road is get a 3uz-fe and build it into a 4.7. Lose a bunch of weight and make it more powerful with a 6 bolt aluminum block closed deck beast

Hmm, should work for a 1st gen sequoia also I would guess? Ever since I put bigger tires on it I get 12.5 mpg. Sucks used to get 15.20190330_113330.jpg it loves gas stations now...lol

I doubt Ill own my Taco forever, as I would like a fullsize, or atleast a newer gen taco one day. In the meantime Ill take care of my truck within my means. Ive fixed pretty much all the crusty spots on the frame. Will try to get the last one this fall before my annual FF application. Looking in the engine bay, its right on top of the drivers frame rail infront of the shock tower. Gonna have to remove the fender liner and it should be easy to get to with a die grinder. I wanna do a real good inspection before my extended frame warranty is up this October.
