First post since becoming a member.

Starting off with a mint one owner 1999 Tacoma Xcab 3.4L V6 SR5 TRD w/ E-Locker. Purchased just a few weeks ago and will be slowly building this for mountain biking, camping and fishing expeditions.

    Goals for my build:
    Complete Suspension Lift
    New Wheels and Tires
    Front Bumper
Bed rack mount w/ Roof Top Tent
General Maintenance to keep this Truck on the road.

    Earning as I learn.

I agree with Parkvisitor. You have yourself a nice truck but check your suspension first thing including all ball joints, and also steering rack bushings. Suspension would be the best thing to invest in first, IMO. Just don't cheap out on it and it will take care of you.

Thank you for the input! Going to start going through the steering and suspension components soon, saving up in preparation. Went through the wild ride of lower ball joints going out on my 3rd gen 4runner. Not fun.

Couldn't resist purchasing this bumper locally and getting it installed. Interesting process, super simple removal of the old bumper. However the new bumper was a very tight fit for width to fit onto the frame and took some problem solving to get it mount up alone. Makes me excited for the build process from here on out.
    Happy with the outcome.

Just need to tuck up some wires and figure out license plate mount and lights.

Nice rig! I have the exact same truck. Looking forward to seeing how your build comes along.

Recently put some wheels on mine....
