Hi guys, looking to up grade my H11 halogen lights to LED I noticed there are too many different brands out there and different reviews, any recommendation which one is better than others?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

    Welcome to the forum!

This is long, but check out this thread on the various lighting technologies when used in 3rd Gen headlights:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

Drop in replacement LEDs will not project correctly, meaning you will have a significant loss in distance illumination, despite all the hype from brands trying to sell you these products. The only legit one on the market right now is the Morimoto replacement LED headlight assemblies covered in post #3 of that thread.

I have a '19 OR and I could not ask for a better replacement for my truck, doesn't blind other drivers, they are plug & play. I researched for over a month and bought these, I read the other Tacoma owners reviews and bought 3 sets.

Don't do LED's. I learned the hard way when I first got my truck. Do yourself a favor and read crashnburn80's thread.

Unless they redesigned the LED and changed the laws of physics these aren’t worth a damn for replacement headlights for our trucks sadly.

You know nothing about what you are talking about, I own them and have used them. If you want to believe all the internet yahoo that's your prerogative but where I'm from experience is knowledge.

Sure thing brother absolutely you’re right, fuck science and non biased actual testing. You’re the one believing marketing and YouTube videos boss. I’m where from science and testing and being able to retest said lab test are what is considered knowledge not “experience” because well that can be biased. I would love for any LED lights to work in our headlights I really would but sadly that has been disproven time and time again. Had LED lights in my truck my neighbor let me use for a week and I wouldn’t put them in again if you paid me.

Youtube videos. I know exactly what you mean. Those "influencers" claim the leds are brighter when really its just more while with less throw rendering them useless compared to stock.

Some people don’t want to admit they wasted the money they earned and will defend it to the death.

The LEDs are great for interior lighting. As for the headlamps, it is best to do a lot of research first.

What is it with you reading things that don't exist like me "believing marketing and YouTube videos boss" where did you get that info, from your science and physics classes?? I already read the link and it's wrong but correct about reflector's splashing the light. I don't know how you can even say anything about how these LED's work when you never used them, or even heard of them until I posted about them but believe what you want, you're as wrong as the link.
If they did not work as well as I tried to explain I wouldn't have wasted my time posting about them but they are so much better than the factory's lights.

If I thought the money was wasted I would have returned them and received a full refund but they are so much better than the factory set.

Funny thing, they even show in their marketing photos they are designed wrong with their “1:1 comparison”, the LEDs do not align with the filament, LOL.

I have used LEDs in my headlights. The ALL have the same design. A stick with two chips on each side so if you tried one you tried them all. You can go on all you like but you’re positively wrong and it’s on this matter. Simple physics will tell you that only a fraction of the light will be reflected forward because the way the chips and placed as well as designed. Bro just do what I do when I’m proven wrong, thank the person for the bit of knowledge and move on. Think of how amazing it would be if you found the magic bulb that crash didn’t test and it works. Chances are that you didn’t cause every single bulb tested has show other wise whether it’s the 150 dollar bulbs or the 37 dollar bulbs they have show they throw light at a distance like a 2 year throwing a bowling ball over hand. It blinds other drivers because the cut off isn’t as clean and to get them to throw my bit of light you have to raise them and they blind other drivers. I don’t have to use your specific bulb to know they blow more then a whore in skid row.

It is actually amusing how often errors like that are made where evidence is provided that the product was designed incorrectly, demonstrating they have no clue what they are doing.

He doesn’t understand I actually want them to work cause I would love a better headlight. But sadly this debate has been solved time and time again.
