Dirty deeds industries sells the injectors (I have yet to find out what they come out of). Most people claim like 1mpg gain.
Not really worth the cost if your going for mpg

Yea. The uz is an odd engine family. All the rod lengths are the same. Bores are all different, the 2uz is a iron block 2 bolt main, the 1iz and 3uz are aluminium with 6 bolt mains. All of them are closed deck. All of the heads can be put on any of the engines.. there’s a bit of aftermarket for them (not a whole lot. But its there..)

 

Id seriously consider selling it tomorrow for $16k if I was offered that much.

Kinda cool, I just saw there is a stroker kit to get 5.2L out of it. Lol. I didn't know there was a performance market for them, or if I did I totally forgot

 

I try not to get so emotionally atatched to vehicles. I dont want to drive the same thing forever because Im sentimental about it. Especially when newer cars are sooo nice.

 

Supras are not too uncommon to see them in. With twins. Mostly because it’s a bolt in swap since the sc400 was a thing

 

I work on new cars. That’s the issue. I can’t stand them. I see only problems. (Obviously, I know most don’t have many issues. But still)

 

What's the hp increase?

 

Not saying Id buy new, just new-er. Im still watching how the 3rd gens are playing out in terms of longevity, Im not opposed to owning one. My next car will be a 2012-ish IS250 RWD. Always liked how those cars looked, and their surprisingly cheap on the used market.

If you know what your doing like me, I can remove it and all the parts in 20 minutes top, takes time to mark all the hoses and connections so you can reinstall it fast too

Installation is slower, a few hours at the most with new belts and possibly new vacuum hoses.

 

If anyone ever ask of you can help change the spark plugs on there srt8, tell them no. Its a pain in the ass. 18 fucking plugs

 

The early toyota RAV you have to pull the motor to get to the plugs in the back.

 

I just don't think we're going to see newer cars last as long as our trucks for instance, because of all the crazy electronic features and how much they rely on them to operate normally. Maybe I'm wrong but it just feels like there's a lot more than can go wrong and stuff like that usually doesn't withstand the test of time. But then again most people just trade in their cars and get another before that happens. Buying newer cars used with high miles would be something I'd avoid

 

Not to mention all these stupid new mandatory safety features like lane assist and automatic braking...something goes screwy with that and I'm sure it's an expensive fix if you're not inclined to do that work on your own.
