Doesn't seem to be a decrease in performance...

Maybe I should go with Cooper Cobras next time around?

I’m betting all the idle time. I watch my trip fuel economy with a Scangauge, and sitting around idling hurts a fair bit.

best MPGS would be stock size at the same weight or less than the factory rubber that came with the truck

Sounds about par for the course, maybe even a little better.

I believe the Cooper Cobras were the same size...

Also, why was mileage seemingly better with the 235 Michelins?

Since we don't know the engine in OP's 5 lug. Is it a 4 or 6 cylinder? Is this a new to you vehicle?

Sure, especially idling up to 30 minutes combined with city driving. Ha! My old Blazers never broke 10 mpg.

Edit... I was actually thinking the same about my 03 v6 today, then I realized, it has been 100 degrees where I live, tons of idle time with the AC blowing and all terrain tires.. Almost the same numbers you have 170 miles, with 1/4 tank left.

I've gotten almost 300 miles if it's mostly highway driving, with the A/C on an all-terrain tires...

Houston native here. 100+ degrees is normal Texas weather. $45 for a tank of 87 and 300 miles later it's like I didn't even fill up. I partially blame traffic as it can get bad, stop and go traffic really kills gas as well as full blast a/c. I estimate 12-14 mpg is pretty average, at least to my driving habits.

I drove to Austin last weekend from Houston and the drive there only ate 1/4 tank of gas, leaving me with 3/4 on the dot. By the time I got back, I still had 1/4 tank. That includes driving around the terrain. By the time I had to fill up my trip meter showed around 430 miles. Which is at best 19-21mpg.

I have a 4.0L V6 with stock tire sizing and I still believe your numbers are way low. Maybe it is time for a routine tune up and retest your mileage numbers. Spark plugs, fluid changes and some eye time underneath your truck may help you spot some discrepancies.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
You mentioned waiting for DoorDash orders. Are you delivering for them? If so, all the starting and short drives is what's killing your MPGs.

That makes sense! I'm driving to Carlisle this Friday and I will probably only go through a quarter of a tank.

Add up all those factors that stated, and your fuel economy will go for a crap. l don't think there's anything wrong with your truck.

Were the plugs changed at 60K? If not then you should replace them. If the gap os too large on the plugs it takes more current for them to fire which is robbing horsepower from the engine and resulting in worse milage. The plugs may not be burning the fuel evenly either. I'd pull them and look at them at least. They are pretty cheap to replace.
