Oh it was classic. Another member (PD3) and I decided to go to Moab for a week and then swing down to AZ and hit up Chris. Well, Chris ended up taking us fishing on his boat.

I'm at the rear of the boat fishing while PD3 (Chad) is up front. Chris is in the middle. I had casted over towards the canyon wall and landed in a small bush. I began to pull with increasing pressure on the line hoping it would snap or come free.

It chose the later, at Mach 10 on a direct collision course with Chris' head. That lure came out of the bush so fast, it sounded like a missle screaming by. I heard a few expletives along with some banging around in the middle of the boat followed by a small splash, then several F-bombs. I thought I mortally wounded him. Chris got up, checked himself for damage, then called me a few choice words.

I can't remember, but it was bad enough to tramatize me for life. I still wake up in cold sweats, trembling. My therapist thinks I am close to having a breakthru though.

so the splash was chris? or the lure? or, god forbid, did one or the other collide with the beer cooler and send it overboard?:eek:either way its amazing that they allow you to hang around here still...

No, it was the lure hitting the water, +50 ft in the other direction. Let's put it this way, if it weren't for gravity TW would be one MOD short.

YOURE tramatised?? I have woken up, in the middle of the night 5 times, and jumped onto the floor face first, thinking some 6 hooked lure was comming at me at 150000 mph. In fact.......I can still hear it, and see the black dots in its eyes......*shiver*
