    RIP to your truck

When did you buy it? Was this recently or did you get the issues sorted out?

Saw took awhile to cut a u bolt. But I think a better blade and larger battery pack would make it faster

Yeah, this thing has lots of things you wouldn't think of. Can tell you if you have burnt out bulbs, low coolant, low washer fluid, charging issues... But because O2 sensors were new shit and fail-safes hadn't come far enough for the ECU to know if the O2 was full of shit they just told you to change em early at 30k.

Old style unheated sensors every 10k, old style heated like mine 30k, new style are monitorable so just be the judge

I do have a washer fluid light, but I've never actually seen it come on and I've run that sucker nearly dry before. Always thought that was a silly warning light to have.

Chances are it isn’t hooked up. My 5-lug has the sensor, while my PreRunner does not.

Both my 1998's have the gas light in the cluster, but they don't have bulbs or are connected at all.

Not inoperable. It never existed. No bulb socket or wiring on both of them. The lens in the cluster was present, but not the wiring.

That's odd, I would think the gas light would be a standard hooked up feature on any vehicle equipped with the dash icon.

Although that's another one I think is kind of stupid, I never understood why someone would rely on that but I've known many people who do over the years. I don't rely on that light to remind me I need fuel and I've never once in my life ran out of gas in a vehicle.

I'm perfect what can I say

My Taco didn't even have a gas light, no physical stencil for one. My cruiser does and obviously the Z does, must've just cheaped out. My truck was a cheap option one anyway, only had the tach and AC.

Even if the gauge says empty, there's still about 4 gallons left in the tank. I drove the truck to basically empty, and it took 14 gallons to fill it up. It's an 18 gallon tank.

If the truck makes the trip, it's not so stupid. ;)

I drove mine until it started cutting out while braking, coasted into a Chevron haha.

Also anyone notice something kinda strange about the Z dash cluster, never noticed until now...

I think it's 2.5 gallons when the light comes on but yeah you still have a ways to go when that happens. I have had the light come on but probably less than a dozen times, I get anxious if it hits the quarter tank mark.
