My gap between the housing and pulley is about the same or less. The only way the pulley lines up
is with the key in the shaft. The lines in the pulley are for air only and better grip

If you torque down the nut the pulley should not hit the housing

Thought I would add this here for all the supercharger guys as you should have an AFR and Boost guage if your running a supercharger.

This is the coolest gauge!!!! I just upgraded to this Gauge.

    https://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/psb1.php

First of all it’s actually a boost gauge and an AFR Gauge in one, so one pillar pod is all you need.

This gauge has the option to set as a boost gauge only or an AFR Gauge only.

You also have the option of have both gauges showing at the same time with the larger display as your choice of being the AFR or the boost.

You can toggle either gauge at any time to have either boost or AFR as your leading gauge.

It also shows the vacuum as part of the boost gauge.

It also has a button setting that shows the top boost pressure you have run. This clears each time
    you turn the motor off.

It also has a warning display that says “02 CUT”

This display pops up on the top right corner whenever the AFR is out of its safe zone running lean.

The gauge also let’s you set the AFR warnings limits.

So let’s say you set the warning “02 cut” at 13.4 and the AFR UNDER BOOST goes over the lean number of 13.5 or higher it will give you the warning “02 CUT” display so you know something is wrong with your setup, (running lean).

    The gauge works fantastic!

The failsafe will not actually cut the boost because our trucks are an older design, for a newer truck
the gauge when it goes into the “02 CUT” (lean area) it would actually stop the boost from going higher.

It also has a light is the guage that tells you when to shift, but that part doesn’t work on our older trucks.

So now I will always know what’s going on with my AFR and boost at all times.

The AFR should be in the 12 range under full boost and 14-15 at idle.

That’s how I’ve done mine Sean, one will fall out into the manifold tube and the other will come out through the back of the SC. There are some black SC that have the back sealed and unfortunately you have to pull the bearing out, but press it.

Just make sure you are careful with the barb in the back when pressing. I forgot about protecting it one time and snapped it off. Had to get it removed and a new one installed. Not the end of the world, but delayed my rebuild a day or so.

Installed my supercharger today and it’s running really lean. Coming up with a po306 code. I’m hoping the new urd fuel pump will fix this issue. Anyone else have this happen?

Mine ran way lean but didn't throw a code, the supercharger itself shouldn't trigger any codes unless there was an issue with the install (vacuum leak for example). Should not need a stronger fuel pump unless you are adding another 7th injector or smaller pulley, the stock pump can handle the supercharger normally.

A PO306 code is a misfire code I think? I don't have any experience with it myself. Did you install the 2 step cooler spark plugs with the supercharger?

I’m running a 2.2 pulley with bigger injectors. And at this point I need to also have a bigger fuel pump to keep up with the boost and the injectors.
The po306 is a misfire code. I looked over my vacuum lines and it all looks correct.

Looks to me you are missing the extra long bolt that holds the S/C to the manifold. That can't be helping.
Also there is a port for an EGR vacuum right behind the T.B flange on the S/C back side. I neglected to plug this port during my S/C install and was getting a lean error code.

That's exactly how I got my lean code when I bought the truck (supercharger installed by PO). Found the EGR port unplugged on the back. But the lean code I was getting was a P0171, weird that the OP is getting a misfire code. Makes me wonder if something went awry with the spark plug install or wires? Not really sure

Yes there is a bolt missing. I ordered on online and it should be here in a few days. Also that vacuum line is plugged in. I triple checked to make sure.
My code reader doesn't give a lean code, it only comes up with the miss fire.

I did install new sparkplugs, gapped them all at .032. not sure if it makes a difference but the ones I used have 3 prongs.
But I'm thinking if I have a 2.2 pulley, 305cc injectors and haven't yet installed the urd fuel pump. wouldn't that technically make sense that not enough fuel is getting pushed threw?

From what I gather, a P0306 code is specific only to a cylinder 6 misfire and is most commonly caused by either faulty spark plug, faulty spark plug wire, distributor failure or faulty fuel injector. I have read that low fuel pressure can cause it as well but I would think if the fuel pump were causing low fuel pressure, wouldn't it trigger a misfire code across all the cylinders or more than one at least? I honestly can't say for sure, just speculating.

If you didn't have this code prior to installing the supercharger then it's fair to say that its related to that or the install itself...so would be hard to believe it's a bad injector. That's why I personally lean toward the spark plug or wire since those had to be changed out when installing the blower.

This is just my novice interpretation of it but hopefully someone with some actual experience with this code can chime in for you

Just got another code p0300, multiple cylinder misfire. Not sure what the best way to go about this. If it was just 1 I could go threw and swap out the spark plugs or the injectors to find the problematic ones but with the multiple it will be hard to figure out

You're sure the wires didn't get mixed up when putting the new spark plugs in? I was gonna say if you haven't yet, maybe make a specific thread about the issue you're having and you'll probably get more replies/advice from people that aren't seeing it in this thread

That may be a good idea. I’ll probably start one after I install the fuel pump to see if anything changes.

Was looking over my work area where I rebuilt my SC and found this bolt. Anyone knows where it goes?

Just had a code pop up on mine after feeling it misfire while driving surface streets. I ended up taking it to my mechanic and changing a coil pack. It happened again and the code read that the 4th cylinder was misfiring. Replaced the fuel injector OEM and haven't had a problem since.

Does anybody know how far you're supposed the press the rotors into the two nosecone gears? When I rebuilt my supercharger I was able to press them all the way to the point of touching the plate they're attached to but that doesn't seem right.

I don’t know the exact measurement but it’s pretty close. The tolerances are tight and you don’t want any slop with the rotors. I’d get them right up to the plate but not touching.

Anyone else notice a bump in price for the 5VZ SCers? They're no longer $2999 but instead $3499 on URD.
