    Ok, so here's the story:

I was at the gym the other day, and I don't usually take strong notice to the girls there. One, though, caught my attention pretty good. I went to talk to her for a bit, and turns out we went to the same high school together. We have some mutual friends, but they are more her friends than mine. (Her best friends are my pretty distant friends.)

I'm probably going to ask her out to grab something to eat or something the next time I see her, but my question is, how would you ladies take a guy hitting on you at the gym? Some girls I talked to are totally against it -- even if the guy was someone they would normally talk to, they wouldn't do so at the gym. Like, they're not there for that -- they're there to work out / they don't want to be talked to while they're all sweaty and crap.

In my experience.. The Gym is much like the Zoo, look and stare all you want but don't pet or feed the animals.

On the other hand, if you can pull'em out of the Gym, power to you my friend.

I say go for it... Worst thing that can happen is it just shuts down ever approaching another chick there cause she would talk shit on you in the locker room. lol

I would say definitely do it.

1.) Women love confidence, and if you've got the stones to chat her up when she's in workout mode (and the ability to maintain the conversation) then go for it.

2.) If you're worried about approaching her during her sweaty time, just say "Hi" to her when you see her there again, make some (BRIEF!) smalltalk, then wish her a good workout and tell her you'll talk to her later. Then, when she's getting ready to leave, make sure to bump into her again and ask her to lunch or something.

3.) If this is the ONE woman that you've had the interest in talking to at the gym, then definitely go for it. It's not like you're prowling the place. People meet people, and when and where isn't always convenient. You might as well or you'll be kicking yourself later if you're interested in her.

great advice. i do feel like i'm doing a bit of all three (first time i talked to her / and she smiled and waved last time i saw her)...and i'm definitely KICKING myself, because that particular day she was on her way out and would have been the perfect opportunity. i'm hoping to catch her sometime this week. if i do...i'll make sure to post the aftermath here :)

Yeah man, I have drug my feet more than once on a fox who was single at the time... They don't usually stay that way for long. Check your stones and go for it! Don't wait... Trust me.

Go for it man! Confidence! I'm assuming she sent you the picture? If so, that's always a positive step forward and subtle invite! ;)
