    Anyone run a light bar in the grille of their truck? Interested in doing it myself and was looking for advise on how hard it was to do and what all you had to put into it to make it work.

    Yes that's what I meant by grille! Did you weld those mounts in there? How hard was the wiring?

    Mounts bolt through the frame, there is a hole going top to bottom at the very front of the frame rails. I first had some bent pieces of aluminum as mounts, but I needed to fit horns in behind the bar so I welded some new ones that pushed the bar forward about 2". As for wiring I used ChrisFix's video on youtube. But I wired the switch straight to the battery instead of using a fuse tap like he did. Just use a relay and its pretty easy.

    I would so make these mounts to sell, but unfortunetly my lower valance has been tweaked by a minor accident so my mounts are different on each side to make the bar appear level. You can see how many holes I had to drill on the right mount to find the spot where the bar looked most level.IMG_20190611_161311773.jpg

    Gotcha! That sucks cause it looks amazing, and I'd totally buy haha. Awesome mod tho! I love how its hidden. I'll have to see what brackets I can have made up at work for me

    Also, the problem with me selling is your limited to using the exact same bar as me. Some people wanna run a double row in there, whereas I was satisfied with a single. And you can fit a bar wider than 20" too.

    just found this on Amazon. The bottom brackets are completely adjustable east to west. watch the youtube video he shows the bottom which is slotted for adjustablity. You'd only need to add a spacer then.

    I installed a 30" lightbar from superbrightleds.

    I just had to buy two small aluminum right-angle brackets from a hardware store and two nuts, bolts, and washers. I didn't have to drill anything except holes in the aluminum brackets. I can probably take pics of the brackets if you need.

    The bar sits a little too high. It's hard to explain without pics, but if I took a hacksaw and cut a small piece of metal on each side of the bumper then I could probably lower the bar about half an inch, which would be perfect.
