They are outdated but solid. What issues do they have? They tow more than Tacomas, have more power, etc etc etc.

The real crime here .. is how many people bought the Ridgeline...

That's funny because I was at Honda today leasing my wife another CRV. while I was waiting for my sales guy I really checked out the Ridgeline. I would say it's an 'executive pickup truck" I'll just leave that there. I don't wear suits but it sure felt like I needed one when I sat in it lo LOL

Don't tell Acura, a reworked Acura Ridgeline might be cool.

I like the ZR2 if you're in the out of the box midsize offroad pick up. I'd say it's the bench mark for that specific market. Where is the Raptor and Trd Pro+?

For a company that made this thing, they deserve everything they get (or don’t get). Like an S-10, PT Cruiser and a VW Bug had a three way.

Nice to see the Tacoma still increasing sales and breaking sales records.

Will be interesting to see where the gladiator ends up in all this. I think long term the ranger will be a tough contender. Especially if they bring out the ranger raptor. I’ll be keeping my taco until the wheels fall off though lol.

Forgive me TW for I have sinned. I looked at a Ranger this weekend at the county fair. I must say, it is smaller than I expected. I understand this is the global version of the Ranger. The only thing I liked about the truck, was the “new car” smell. The rest of the truck you can have. Not for me.

It's definitely unique. GM deserves some credit for that. Not the usual rental-car-fleet-look that plagues most of their lineup.

The only good thing about that thing was a 6 speed Manual Transmission Option.

He posted mid-size truck sales numbers, the Tacoma is a mid-size truck, this is a Tacoma forum. The Colorado sales drop was the most news worthy thing to note from this quarter. Fruit forecasts would make sense to post on a pineapple forum. The real question is if you don't care, why are you posting on the thread?

Probably somewhere around the lower-middle. It has the Jeep cult following but it's also a truck that starts at the same price as TRD Tacoma, Z71 Colorado, or well-equipped Ranger. Most mid-size I see rolling around are still a basic XLT or SR5 trim so it's only competing with the highest models.

Hard to justify that kind of cash for a vehicle only slightly more capable than a Tacoma at luxury full-size pricing when a JL/JLU performs better in the segment and a Toyota will historically be more reliable.

If Ford drops a diesel Ranger, Toyota will have a serious competitor on the higher end. I wasn't a huge fan of the Ranger but it felt a lot better than the GM twins and I'd definitely consider one with that 2.0L diesel. As is I suspect the XL trim Ranger si going to start eating into Toyota's fleet sales. Those things go for dirt cheap.

Accessory to that is this statement re: Ridgeline:

"We are including Honda Ridgeline sales for informational purposes, as the model straddles the midsize and full-size pickup truck segments."

Since friggin when is the Ridgeline anywhere close to a full size? o_O
