Hey Why me? Here's your video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/y5gc1l0h0s0qi4q/20190506_141436.mp4?dl=0

Also, check out where the cabin filter comes in while under that car wash or while under maple_leafs pressure water, might be interesting to see if you can see where it's coming in exactly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hDVXe_c6nE

Finally, just throwing this out there; my baby momma has a Miata, top drains clog all the time. I realize you're garage kept and all, but maybe there is a manufacturer clog impeding the volume of flow, like plastic debris or something completely off the wall from the manufacturing assembly line. I used this: Don't relent or back down.

Before you go that far Demand a Factory Rep to come help you . Dealers hate doing that, so expect resistance, but it is your Right to Demand one and they will show up .

I did the cabin filter on a 2012 taco I had and it was over stuffed with pine needles and leaves to the point I had to use a long screw driver beat into a hook to pull that mess out. I ran a shop vac at the same time.

Once I had the filter cleared I vaced into the upper box and got a lot more stuff . I have a 80 gallon air compressor and blew up into there and got more out.

Then I removed the old filter and installed and new one, running that 15 minutes at high recirculation OFF, and got even more ! I just didn't get rain water.

Done that, it was the rep who determined it was in the gen3 design and advised to use another wash.

With that said, and the rest you wrote I have to agree. If I could get my greasy mitts on this leaking truck I could fix it . I am a x dealer tech for many kinds of cars trucks and motorcycles.
Even in a fair rain I stay dry on my bike , unless I have to stop .

Why Toyota cannot fix it is beyond me as well. Admittedly, I am not mechanical inclined. That is why I joined TW to gain some insight. Everthing I have posted is absolutely true and correct as Toyota is telling it to me.

I work for the service dept of an Acura dealer. We had a Mdx that would leak water when the owner would take the vehicle through a specific car wash. And only that car wash. We took other Mdx's to that car wash and they would leak also, but take a Rdx and no leak. Acura basically told her to stop using that wash and find a new one. My guess is that your situation is very similar. Find another car wash that makes it happen or I see Toyota winning this one. Sucks that it happens, but I'm not sure its one you can win unless you can prove it happens in more than one wash.

Yeah it does suck. To me it boils down to one question. Shouldn't a consumer who purchases a new Toyota have a high degree of confidence water will not intrude into the cabin going through a carwash, any carwash?

also there have been instances on 3rd gen trucks where leaks develop around the roof mounted brake light, which has been addressed by Toyota and fully resolved with new gasket and additional silicon sealant as I recall, like you say these leaks should be very easy to track down if they really excist at all, most of the time its a window that hasn't been fully closed where high pressure water can enter.
