    None so far
After going 2 winters with the mats Toyota(junk) supplied for my 2017 Tacoma I am looking to purchase either WeatherTech or Husky liners for my truck. Any suggestions good or bad for these liners.

I had Husky's in the last truck and Toyota OEM this truck. Both work fine. Husky's were little better, but not enough for me to spend the extra money.

    Thanks for the tag!

I too have Husky Liners in my truck, they've been great for me

3D Maxpider Kagu floor mats are really cool. Great fit and unique look.
Pictured aren't for a Tacoma, but this is them up close and personal -

I had WT and was unimpressed with them; hard, slippery, and didn't fit well.

Husky X-Act are superior; softer, not slippery, and perfect fit.

    Stock and staying that way
I have Weathertech .They work but don't fit as well as you would think. And the edges have gotten a little wavy.

I'd buy the Huskys if doing it over .

I have WT and they do the job but fit like shit. The sides have started to develop gaps and looks terrible.

Husky X-act fit are better than other Husky options or WeatherTech. I wish they were available for my 4Runner. I have WeatherTech mats in there and they fit and work well. I still prefer the Husky X-act fit for the non-slip material.

Both are good. I have the WTs and have no complaints.

I fail to see how a $100 Chinese rip off of both WeatherTech and Husky would be “superior.” On par, sure maybe. That’s like saying McTunning is superior to Ridgid or BD. Worth buying, maybe, just depends on your needs.

OP- I’ll probably try Husky this time around. Loved my WheatherTechs BUT they can get pretty slick. I’ve heard others say that Husky doesn’t get as slick as WT does. Hell I’d try on of the other eBay or Amazon brands but their labeling is ugly as shit. Big white 3D or some other eBay looking label. If I’m going to pay half the price, mid as well get the real thing.

Chinese rip off....some funny stuff right there.
If you like hard plastic then go with WT or Husky. The Kagu liners are superior in the fact that they offer same protection and fit as the WT and Husky but offer a foaming layer that helps to reduce noise and vibration from the floor. The bottom portion of the liner has the MAXpider layer that is anti-skid that keeps mats in place far more superior than anything else on the market.
But hey, what else could you expect from a $100 Chinese rip off o_O

I really like my WT's in the GMC but agree they do not fit like $180 floor mats should. I will definitely try Husky next time but honestly, WT's last the life of the truck so it will be next vehicle.

Unfortunately the 3D MAXpider Kagu and Husky X-act are not produced for 3rd Gen Tacos with Manual Transmission, which leaves the WeatherTech DigitalFit as the best option IMHO.

Husky WeatherBeaters are harder and slicker than their X-act Contours liners. If I wouldn't have got a good deal on both(weatherbeaters front/x-act rear) I would have gone with X-act contours for both front and rears.

So perfect timing for this thread with an upcoming video project of mine.

Sadly, one of the options isn’t the X-Act Contour, but I do have them in my second gen, so here’s a dirty picture to help compare:
(Best floor mat option in my opinion)
    E2DDA4B1-3869-4040-8D6D-6000C7763CF8.jpg 857CF98D-5627-4CBC-AC8E-1E62C86DF414.jpg

As for 3rd gen specific here are the Husky Weatherbeaters, WeatherTech, and Maxliner drivers side floor liners to help compare.
These are all the 16-17 automatic transmission fit.

I hope this helps you all decide!

I have Weathertechs in my truck and Huskys in the wife's car. I've heard all people's preferences and maybe they're right or wrong, but the things are basically the same and I'd purchase both again.
